UNIT 5 – SECTION B WRITING

I live in L´Eliana, it´s a beautiful town of Valencia, Spain. The population in

the year 2022 was of 18,544 people . The urban area of La Eliana is quite
small but the rest of the term is made up of chalets.

L´Eliana is the richest town in the “Camp de Turia” region, because have a
good economy. There are industries dedicated to ceramics, glass and
construction materials. It´s a town with an important tradition of “Fallas”,
the most important party of Valencia. People use firecrackers in Fallas to
celebrate this festivity. In the main street you can enjoy a lot of little fruit
shops, restaurants and coffee shops. At the center of the La Eliana you can
see the church and the town hall, they are very important buildings.

The weather in La Eliana is typical of the mediterranean region. Summers

are hotter than in the last century. The winter isn´t very cold and it rains a
little. I prefer springs and autumns as it is the perfect temperature to
enjoy the day outdoors.

La Eliana is known for its open spaces with clean air, great to go for a walk.
It´s also beginning to be known as the town with the most restaurants in
the area, one of the specialities is the rice like paella. Because after the
covid-19 many people have come to live in the chalets and have sold their
apartments in a city, to enjoy more open spaces. For example, the Turia
river that crosses L´Eliana and where many people like to go with the
family by bike.

What I like best about L´Eliana is that we aren´t as much pollution as in the
city and you are close to the mountains, for example, “La Calderona”.
When I´m stressed I can go for a walk without the noise of the city and
breathe less polluted air. The only thing I don´t like is that the beach is
further away than I would like.
