Firmware Upgrade Instructions to resolve IN100 Battery Drain

CAUTION: This procedure must only be used after verifying the lockset has 3.14 FW
installed on it. Before beginning this procedure, you MUST verify the lockset is running 3.14
FW. Any other FW version will have no guarantee of functionality at the end of the
procedure. Any FW version other than 3.14 should not use this procedure, stop immediately,
and other troubleshooting steps should occur.
DO NOT PERFORM THIS UPGRADE OTA (Over the Air)

Equipment list:
1- USB Mini cable.
1- Aperio Programming Application (PAP tool). Latest Version: 25.0.23…..
1- Hex secure bit to remove back cover.
Latest Firmware and firmware fix .AFW files provided by Tech Support:
Step_1_IN100…3.14.99.afw
Step_2_IN100…3.14.70.afw

Procedure:

FIRST STEP
• Remove back cover.

• Insert USB Mini cable to the Program port on IN100 controller.

• Open PAP tool and select USB CABLE detect

• Right click on detected lock and select upgrade firmware.

• Select firmware fix file


o Step_1_IN100…3.14.99.afw

• Supply password from correspondence


(or other supplied password):

• The selections will default as below, Select Start.


o This process may take approximately 3 minutes to install both components.

• When Progress window shows Done… select Close.

Second Step
• Right click on detected lock and select upgrade firmware.
o Select latest firmware file. Step_2_IN100…3.14.70.afw

• Supply password from correspondence


(or other supplied password):

• The selection “Lock – Main Application” will default as below, Select Start.
o This process may take approximately 3 minutes.

• When Progress is Done, select close.


• Remove USB cable and one battery for 30 seconds, then re-insert battery and USB cable.
• Insert USB Mini cable to Program port on IN100 controller.
• In PAP tool, select USB CABLE detect, right click on detected lock and select Retrieve
System information.

• In System information verify Bluetooth LE : Enabled. It will be slightly pass halfway


scrolling down through the window.
• Close window, Remove USB Cable, and replace Battery cover.
• Test lock with known credential.
