Introduction
Colacho, is the antagonist of one of the most picturesque religious festivals that
are celebrated in Spain. Like every year, will be the one who ends up getting
scalded and will end up fleeing to the joy and revelry of all the inhabitants of a
town that lives this very particular festival with passion
History
Its origins are not entirely clear, but some historians
believe that it may have started as a fertility ritual.
During the festival, 'demons' in red and yellow masks
run through the streets hurling insults at the villagers
and whipping them with a ponytail attached to a stick.
