Great job on taking this step to building your coaching business!

The worksheets contained in this document are all you’ll need to turn any
complementary coaching session into a long-term coaching client, as well as run
your first four client sessions.

Just below, you’ll find a brief description of exactly what each template is for, and a
link to access a video training to better understand how to use the template with a
client.

I look forward to hearing from you as to how much they have helped you grow your
coaching business.

Template 1 - Business Needs Analysis

The Business Needs Analysis is the ultimate diagnostic tool to use with your clients.
It’s also an amazing tool for turning interested prospects into motivated, ready-to-
start clients. Most business owners you encounter will not know what their problems
are. They know something is wrong, but are generally clueless as to the specifics.
The Business Needs Analysis lets you discover the heart of the problems.

Template 2 - Where is Your Business Now?

This worksheet forms the first part of your first paid client session, and is used to
demonstrate to the client that they must embrace change to fix their current
challenges. This document focuses on a lot of the same concepts as the Business
Needs Analysis because since the last (sales intensive) session, they have probably
forgotten the challenges they mentioned, and may be thinking, “Why did I agree to
this coaching anyway?” This worksheet is designed to turn this around.

Template 3 - SWOT Analysis

A SWOT analysis will really help your client understand whether the goals they are
setting are "achievable" for their organization, or if they should be adjusted to better
motivate and drive the organization to higher (or more realistic) targets.

The SWOT analysis is a coaching tool that is too often undervalued, generally
conducted once in every coach’s initial meeting and then put in the drawer, never to
be seen again. Instead, you should consider this worksheet one of the most
important documents to ensure business longevity. The SWOT analysis should be
conducted every six months and should be viewed as an organizational insurance
policy. By doing this, an organization will make sure it is well-positioned against
threats that are looming on the horizon, as well as ready to capitalize on any
potential opportunities that otherwise may have gone unnoticed.

Template 4 - ForceField Analysis

The ForceField analysis is amazingly useful for helping your client, and you as their
coach, understand the terrain before making any change or improvement. It’s also a
great way to ensure your client doesn’t fall victim to unforeseen hurdles, or miss out
on potential supporters who may aid their success.

Template 5 - Get to Know Yourself

As a business coach, you need to understand your clients on a deeper level. To add
to that, running a business can be chaos, and your client may not have had time to
truly understand themselves. The "Get to Know Yourself" template is designed to get
everything out on the table, so you can start helping your clients where they need it
most.

Use this worksheet at your own discretion. While it is extremely useful, some clients
consider it life coaching and it can lose you rapport. When working with corporate
clients, if you decide to use the worksheet, add on the phrase "when you’re working"
to the start of each question.
