Sub Resubmission of Revised Estimate for Project No:100/22 MCF Building

Construction Second Phase in Belloor GP reg:-.
Ref 1. Letter No:D3- GNRL/23 from Executive Engineer/LID & EW/Kasaragod
2. Letter No.63/2023 from Assistant Executive Engineer/LID &
EW/Karadukka Sub Division dated 02.08.2022.

Respected Sir,

With reference to the above the discrepancy vide reference 1 has been addressed and a
verification statement for each discrepancy is mentioned below.
1. Original Estimate, Drawings, site plan, tender documents, site handover details, and work
orderdetails attached.
2. The Administrative Sanction (AS) for Revised Estimate (No:1/2 of Belloor GP Emergency General
Body Meeting dated 03.03.2023) with full clarity of statement is attached herewith.
3. Detailed Report of the revised estimate is attached herewith.
4. Plan, Structural Drawing and site plan are attached herewith, No change in the structural drawing
except the variation in the footing was made as per the site condition to make the plinth level to
water level.
5. The site is at a foothill with sloping terrain, instead of levelling the terrain, it was proposed to
adopt footings with varying depths to make the plinth level to water level, hence variation
from the original estimate is made in the revised estimate. The Building is provided with an
adequate foundation.
6. Rectified.
7. Ramp is not required for the building as it is accessible to the Differently Abled Person. No
exclusive ramp is required as proposed in the original estimate.
8. The original ground is in sloping terrain, so in order to make adequate parking facility filling of
the earth is required, this filling is termed as “Landscaping “ in the revised estimate.
9. The site is at a foothill with sloping terrain, so instead of levelling the terrain it was proposed
to adopt footings with varying depths to make the plinth level to water level. Laterite was used
for filling the portion in between the Plinth beam below foundation. Hence variation from the
original estimate occurred.
10. Septic tank is included in item No.1.051 & item No.1.001 and provision for sock pit is
included in item no. 1.001 in both the original estimate and the revised estimate. As
the existing ground is laterite no separate laterite is required for Leach Pit hence not
incorporated in the revised estimate.
11. There is no deviation in height of the building from the original proposed height of 4.00m.
From plinth level 2.10m is made with laterite, lintel of 0.20m above lintel 1.20m of

Page 1|3
laterite and over it 0.40m of RCC beam and 10cm of mortar in between laterite
(2.10+0.20+1.20+0.40+0.10=4.00m). The height of the building may again be scrutinized.
12. The Hollow brick is used in the building for the wall of the toilet. Initial estimate called upon for
a height of 2.10m, in order to have proper ventilation the height was revised to 2.50m, further
in the original estimate it was proposed to make partition in the stock area which is dropped
as it leads to wastage in storage area. Hence revision is made as per building requirements.
The size of the Toilet and bathroom is in compliance with KPBR.
13. The Plinth Beam size has been revised at the site as per building requirement of proper
flushing of thewall with the column, it is in compliance with the structural requirement for
this building.
14. All columns above plinth level are having a height of 4.00m. The site is at a foothill with
sloping terrain, instead of levelling the terrain, it was proposed to adopt footings with
varying depths to make the plinth level to water level, hence variation from the original
estimate is made in the revised estimate for the height of columns below plinth level.
15. In order to make the building more energy efficient the size of the window opening were
increased, hence the variation in the length of sunshade further it was proposed in original
estimate for a sunshade of uniform thickness, practically a cantileversunshade is made sloping
towards end. Hence variation arrived as executed at site.
16. Weight of the structural steel added.
17. Size of the hand rail material added.
18. Size of MS Grill material added.
19. Front implies the Front side of the Building under the item head plastering.
20. Under the main head 2 ,(2.004) there is an item of plastering for compound wall in addition to
the plastering head under item 1, (1.025), the painting of compound walls is included in main
head 1, hence variation inthe plastering and painting.
21. Added.
22. Only Two PVC door and frame has been executed.
23. In the original estimate it was proposed to lay the stock area with ceramic tiles but Ceramic
Tile is more prone to scratch damages by the dumped plastic hence it was proposed to go for
vitrified tile in the stock area which is more scratch resistant and easy to clean rather than
ceramic tile. Hence an increase in the area of ceramic tile came in the revised estimate.
Further original estimate was proposed with factory made chamfered edge cement concrete
paver block at the passage area considering the entry of heavyautomobile into the building,
as the plastic waste is dumped by light weight electric auto chequered terrazzo tile under head
E1 were adopted in passage area and vitrified tiles were adopted in the stock area.
24. Ceramic Tile is prone to scratch damage by the dumped plastic hence it was proposed to go
forvitrified tile which is more scratch resistant and easy to clean rather than ceramic tile.
25. Wash Basin area tile has been executed with superior quality vitrified tile hence has been
included in item 1.034 instead of 1.037 with ceramic glazed wall tile.
26. 25mm Pipe length varied as per the site requirement as the building was proposed with
acurved roof, it is not feasible to keep the water tank over the roof hence it is placed
outside over a staging arrangement hence variation in the plumbing accessories
occurred.
27. 50mm Pipe length varied as per the site requirement as the building was proposed with
acurved roof, it is not feasible to keep the water tank over the roof it is placed outside
over a staging arrangement hence variation in the plumbing accessories occurred.
28. 110mm Pipe length varied as per the site requirement as the building was proposed with
acurved roof, it is not feasible to keep the water tank over the roof it is placed outside
over a staging arrangement hence variation in the plumbing accessories occurred.
29. The Grating is provided for both bathroom and toilet; correction is made in the revised estimate.
30. The building exits in a remote location, considering the safety of the building and the site being
Page 2|3
in a sloping terrain the length of the compound wall has been varied accordingly as per the
siterequirements.
31. The initial proposed foundation depth and size is not varied (0.30m x 0.030m), the length of
compound wall has been varied considering the safety of the building and the site beingin a
sloping terrain the length of the compound wall has been varied accordingly as per the site
requirements, hence variation in overall quantity.
32. Thickness incorporated.
33. DB 4 statement corrected accordingly as per the format prescribed in PRICE 3.0.
34. L1, L2 statement added.

Thanking You,
