clientele base. This business establishment is going to have an online outlet where
all the targeted clientele base who are afar from my place of operation can order
for the products online via the enterprise’s social media platforms and through
other media like WhatsApp that will be created.

Why online? In recent times, the world has revolutionized to a digitalized system
where most of the selling and buying of goods and services are done online. This
effect has mainly been the resultant effect of the Covid-19 pandemic and that got
the whole world in a state of dilemma. More so, according to research and some
feasibility studies, social media has in recent times become the new emerged or
emerging marketing strategy of both young and successful entrepreneurs around
the globe. Finally, the enterprise seeks to reach out to a higher clientele base, a
very good number of all Ghanaian customers of the fashion industry through the
sales of my products both face to face and via online.

The enterprise is aware that there are other fashion design enterprises engaging in
this seamstressing business, which is why I spent time and resources to conduct a
thorough feasibility studies and market survey so as to be well informed and
strategized to favorably compete with all my competitors. I will ensure that all my
customers are given first class treatment whenever they order from me.
Again, my enterprise will have a mechanism that will enable me manage a one on
one relationship with my customers no matter how large they are. I will ensure that
I get my customers involved in the selection of the brands of the fabrics,
fashionable styles, ensure the taking of appropriate measurements and sewing
exactly to the preference of my customers. More to that, I will make sure I have
their bio data and send them seasonal greetings like happy new month, happy
holidays, happy new years and birthday wishes, this will help me maintain my
loyal customers and build on getting more customers on board and as time goes on
I will keep in touch with them to see how they are faring.
My enterprise will at all times demonstrate her commitment to sustainability, both
individually and as an enterprise, by actively participating in our communities and
integrating sustainable business practices wherever possible.

I will ensure that I hold myself accountable to the highest standards by meeting my
customers’ needs precisely and completely whenever they patronize my products.
City of living God Enterprise will be a sole proprietorship business that will be
owned by Lilian Twentor, having gotten and benefitted from the entrepreneurship
skills needed through the Ghana Jobs and Skills Project Training from the Basic
level through to the Intermediate level and finally the advanced level with well
certified achievements of participation.

2.0 How the business was identified.

City of living God Enterprise emerged due to the high purchase and demands of
sewed clothes within Kete Krachi township and Ghana as a whole. It is actually an
indisputable fact that clothing is a basic necessity for all humans and that do not
exclude the good people of Kete Krachi township and its environs beyond. Thus,
makes seamstress business very viable. This business idea was borne a long time
ago. This business is skill oriented, hence I needed the required skills to be able to
sew and also manage the enterprise. To make this business ideology a reality, I
enrolled as an apprentice in one of the reputable fashion design institutions in
Krachi and acquired all the needed skills to become a professional seamstress over
a period of fours. Therefore, my reason for establishing my business. There is no
end to its demand so far as we continue to wear and since it is having such a huge
market having gotten and benefitted from the entrepreneurship skills needed
through the Ghana Jobs and Skills Project Training from the Basic level through to
the Intermediate level and finally the advanced level with well certified
achievements of participation is strategic to execute the business idea after making
my market analysis.

6.1 Expected challenges and possible solutions

Every business within every industry has its challenges. How they face them is
what makes them successful or failures. The fashion industry is known for its high
failure rate, especially in the fashion sector. Being in the fashion business takes
hard work, dedication, and experience to excel. Expected challenge may be seen
among the following;

Customers
You can be the best seamstress in the fashion industry and still have unruly or
angry customers. You could have customers who just have unrealistic expectations
or you made a simple mistake of showing up late or providing an incorrect
measurement or order. Dealing with customers properly is one of the biggest
factors in having a good repeat business. Knowing how to deal with every scenario
of an unruly customer can be easier said than done. You should accept that there is
no such thing as total customer satisfaction. However, if you act realistic and
continue to improve your processes, a good customer experience will help sustain
the business in the future.

Missing parcels

Since the business will be having an online outlet, of course there will be a
delivery marketing strategy that will be adopted. One of the problem associated
with online sales and delivery is sometimes missing of items/products. In order to

8
mitigate this canker, I will make sure my dispatch employees will be well trained
with the necessary delivery skills and also work with trusted derivers who I may
fall on to delivery my sewed clothes to customers at destinations that are not
actually close to me.

7.0 MARKET PLAN

The demand for sew clothes is huge. A good reputation for reliability, consistency
and good products & service will be the key ingredients for developing my
customer base for my fashion/clothing business. I will also invest in proper
branding and extensive marketing drives (especially on the internet and social
media). Figure out competitive pricing regimes that can tip my competition over.
One way I will attract customers is by coming up with regular specials, promotions
and discounts for my sewed products. Hygiene and presentation of my service
offering and products are paramount to a favorable brand image. I will take my
time to conduct customer surveys in order to fully acquaint myself with what
exactly my customers like or dislike.

7.1 SALES STRATEGIES

Face to face sales

With this, I will sew fashionable clothes and exhibit it in my shop for sale. On the
order hand, customers can also bring in their preferred fabrics and their selected
styles to be sewed at a relatively good price and of high quality standard. I will also
seek senior high schools’ uniforms contracts, churches, as well other
organizational contracts to make sales.
Online sales
I will get a website set up for my fashion /clothes sewing business. Include e-
commerce functionality on the website. In fact, I will make it a web/shop app so
that it is also optimized for mobile access. There will be functionality for clients to
order online. I will have high definition visuals showing my fashion /clothes
sewing business offerings. These will also be instrumental in my digital marketing
efforts. This includes social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing,

9
and social media influencer marketing, uploading some of my products on my
WhatsApp status for views and orders, amongst others.

7.2 Promotional budget

The promotional budget for City of living God Enterprise will be the amount to be
used to promote my new or existing products. This will depend on the business
analysis, market research, and anticipated returns on investment the enterprise will
make.

7.3 The promotional tools/ technique

The promotional tools to be used to promote the enterprise is through;

a. Advertising my products by using the communication techniques such as
radio announcement and digital ads on all my social media handles.
b. Sales promotion to increase sales of my products and services: I will
typically include incentives for customers like coupons, discounts, samples.

7.4 P’s of Marketing Strategy

7.4.1 Product Strategy

To sew my clothes unique, I will ensure the quality and safety of my products;
always satisfied and attracted to my customers.

7.4.2 Packaging

My product will come neatly, uniquely and well packaged. I will make sure
ordered products do not develop any faults during delivery. Hence, I will have a
neatly branded carton with the enterprise logo and contact information that I
package my products to give my customers the satisfaction they want.

7.4.3 Price Strategy

Price is the payment given by one party to the other in order to get the return for
goods or services. It is necessary as it determines my profit and business survival.
Two factors will affect my pricing strategy to increase my profits. The internal

10
factor that affects my pricing strategy is production and management cost. At the
same time, the external factor is the competitive pricing environment.

7.4.4 Place Strategy

Place strategy is also known as distribution strategy, wherein the organization

decides the mode of distribution for the product. The placing strategy plays an
important role in selling the products. My main target market is the immediate
inhabitants of Kete Krachi and the Oti and other part of the Bono regions all across
the country. Most especially are those within the said targeted jurisdiction of my
operation. As well as institutions such as senior high schools, churches, among
others.

Promotion is the advertising process to provide information to different parties

about the products. It is a communication process that influences the customer to

11.0 CONCLUSION

A fashion design (Seamstress) enterprise is a very lucrative business to start with

huge profit margins. No matter the prevailing conditions people will always need
fashionable clothes. The customer base is large, as we continue to wear. Based on
the business plan template or business proposal example that I have made; City of
living God Enterprise will give me profitable returns. The assumptions I made for
the 3 financial years are conservative. The enterprise will set systematic planning
to reach the target. Thus, City of living God Enterprise is very confident that the
enterprise will be able to grow in the future and become the most popular
enterprise in the Fashion Sector of Ghana and beyond. I will always ensure that
everyone in the enterprise cooperates well in order to achieve the business targeted
profit.
