ASSESSMENT TWO: DEVELOPING SELF-MANAGEMENT SKILLS

GROUP ASSIGNMENT: CHOICES: EATING PLAN, SCHEDULE OF EVENTS, SLEEP, PRIORITISING AND
RELAXATION EXERCISES – HOW TO MANAGE YOUR GOALS BY THE CHOICES YOU MAKE.

As individuals we are always posed with making decisions about our health, social lives, what we eat,
who we associate with, our responsibilities and commitments, etc. Watch the following video
(https://youtu.be/_HEnohs6yYw) called The Choice (ensure you click Ctrl and then click the video).
Working in groups of five (5) provide the following:

• You must develop a one-week long programme to indicate the choices you make in terms of
eating, social lives, our health, who we associate with and prioritising our commitments and
responsibilities. This programme must be personalised for your group circumstances.
• Research on FIVE benefits of eating healthy and what activities to engage in to ensure a
healthy lifestyle. Provide evidence of videos or images of all group members engaging in these
activities.
• Provide FIVE relaxation/exercise activities that suit your lifestyle. This should include
activities that get you moving (Show evidence of group members in your presentation as well.
(NB: Reading, watching TV or playing video games are not acceptable).
o Provide a short description for each exercise.
o Provide clear instructions for each exercise.
o Do not repeat activities without change during the two-week period.
• After the one-week long programme provide a summary on the effect it has had on your:
o Changes in stress levels,
o Changes in energy levels,
o Accomplishing of your tasks and goals,
o Provide reasons as to why it was beneficial or not.
o Which aspects of the programme are recommendable?
o Add a photo of yourself doing your favourite activity.
• At least FIVE reference are required in-text. You must reference your sources correctly and
create a BIBLIOGRAPHY.

1. You are required to complete and submit it in a PowerPoint written format.


2. Each student is to provide a reflection on a week-long programme, you must show evidence of
the practical exercises you have done.
3. Make sure to plan beforehand so that you have enough time to complete the task.
4. Remember to include your cover page with your groups members, name, surname, student
number.
