Linux Engineer (more Engineer than Admin)

4000 USD – All LATAM except Venezuela (debe tener experiencia construyendo servidores)

MAIN SKILLS: (building servers, configuring, setting up, etc)

● 6+ year’s of experience as Linux Engineer/Administrator (must have)

● Python Scripting knowledge (must have), along with shell scripting/ruby.

● In-depth knowledge of RHEL 7/8

● Strong Linux system (RedHat) and troubleshooting skills.

● Experience in Production Server Environment, Physical server builds & KVM’s.

● Solid ability to troubleshoot a variety of performance issues (with cpu/mem/disk) and other
problems.
● Performance tuning in RedHat Linux

● Good knowledge of basic Networking (TCP/UDP/DNS/Subnets etc)

● Strong understanding of init scripts, filesystems and other sysadmin essentials.

● Good knowledge and experience on Raid Levels.

● Experience with system management tools, logical file systems etc.

● Experience in managing enterprise Linux environments with 1000’s of physical servers.

● Knowledge in physical server hardware.

● Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate

with internal and external teams.
● RedHat Satellite Server knowledge or any other system build tools.

● Knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible

● Experience on any disaster recovery (DR) process/procedures.

● Monitoring of Linux servers using Nagios/icinga/Splunk or any monitoring tool

● Knowledge of Python/BASH required, prior experience writing python/bash scripts with

100’s lines of code.
● Python/BASH functions, loops, command line arguments

● Certification in RedHat Linux & Hadoop knowledge will be an added advantage.
