With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcome:

Learning Outcome 3: analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the Bilingualism


Plan in Colombia, considering their own experiences and perspectives of various
authors.
The activity consists of:

Step 1: Read the documents


Go to the learning environment and read the references of unit 2; check the points of
view of the authors related to the bilingualism plan and the impact on theeducational
policy system.

Step 2: Opinion article


Write an opinion article where you present your position about the bilingualism plan
in Colombia. Here you need to analyze the readings of unit 2, read and reflect on each
reading and take a side. In the article, you have to show the advantages and
disadvantages of the bilingualism plan in Colombia.

What is an Opinion Article?


It is an article in which the writer expresses their personal opinion, typically one which
is controversial or provocative, about a particular issue or item of news.

-Introduction: Introduce the topic and ideas

-Body: Develop the ideas (disadvantages/advantages-positive aspects/negative aspects)
-Conclusion: Give opinions, points of view, take sides.
