I am currently studying a master’s degree at Monash University focusing on metabolic neuroscience. I’m
drawn to research, particularly neuroscience, stemming from and motivated by my family involvement
in the disability sector. I have completed a 9-month research project culminating in a thesis and an
internship at The Alfred Centre. I have also been employed by my research lab to construct and optimise
our optogenetics system, including developing specific apparatus and protocols. This, alongside my
research project, piqued my interest in optogenetic and other emerging techniques in the neuroscience
field.
