walking home one day and looking at all the litter on

one of those big black plastic bags and started

We all meet up once a week. I'm really proud
because people say it's made a real difference to the
area.
Ben: It wasn't because we wanted to stop climate
change or save the world or anything like that. No,
we installed solar panels on the house because we
wanted to save money. The cost of electricity has
risen so much recently that it got to the point where
my wife would wait for me to come home before
opening the bills. She was that worried about them.
Anyway, things are a lot better now. We pay less
than half of what we used to. And my wife can open
letters now without me.
Olivia: I use buses to get around because it's better
for the environment. The problem is that a lot of the
time we're stuck in traffic jams. That's because there
are too many cars on the road and the air pollution
from them all is awful. I feel really sorry for anyone
walking by the side of the road. Why don't people just

leave their cars at home and use public transport to
get to work?
Sam: I moved to the UK a couple of months ago and
it's been great apart from one thing. They recycle as
much as they can and each house has different bins
for different rubbish. My problem is that I forget what
goes in which bin. Do egg boxes go in the brown bin?
Does glass go in the blue one? Luckily there's a
website for help, but it's still very confusing!
Molly: I got interested in endangered species when I
saw a documentary about polar bears. The ice is
melting and they have to swim further and further to
find food. Some of them die because they are too
exhausted to swim any more. I know I can't go and
help the polar bears, but I can raise awareness about
the problem. I have my own blog where I write about
animals that are at risk.
