The pax terminals work like any other android unit

Connect device to the same Edgeserv Network

Set IP as static on the device and router

Setup Aries 8 & Pax Store

PAX STORE STEPS

1. New account: contact angela.arnold@pax.us

2. After setting up new account you must go through a free training hosted by Pax in order to use
Pax Store
a. Select Site
b. Add the terminal
i. Restaurant Zip
ii. Name and S/N
iii. Manufacture and Model
iv. Activate

SETUP A920

Pushing ES App from pax store

 Click Push App in the to right

 Select box to the left of EdgeServ POS and then click OK in bottom right
 Activate
 Aries 8 Should Beep
  NOTE: When push the BroadPOS TSYS Siera app before input the info from the VAR sheet on
the TSYS tab, you have to change the template from banking to RESTUARUANT.

SETUP A920 and PAX Store

 Under app & Firmware tab update
 Push Firmware (top right)
 Select
 Activate
 In APP agree to location and consent
 PAX Store app will be available on device

 PUSH BROADPOS TYSYS SIERA APP

 Push from the pax store
 Push the app in the top right corner
 Select Box to the left of BroadPOS TSYS SIERRA
 Go to Tsys tab and setup according to VAR sheet
 Activate
 You should hear a noise on the device
 Once downloaded you will TYSYS app on the screen

 SETUP ARIES8 IN EDGESER BOH

 Add the PAX Semi-Integrated option in the license server
 On the BOH navigate to Card Readers and add new reader.
 Enter the IP address
 Set to TCP/IP

ADD CFD LIKE ANY OTHER READER

BUT UNDER TERMINAL EDITOR PAIR IT WITH DESIRED TERMINAL

Open the Edgeserv POS App

Click the gear icon (device need to be on the same network)

Enter the URL of the server with port as: 111.111.111.111:8080

HTTPS Connection turned off

Path: enter the path of the war file

Set the payment workflow

FOR PATT ORDERING APP YOU NEED TO AN ADDITIONAL LICENCE FREE FOR THAT
LOGIN WITH POS USER ON THE IPAD, THEN YOU MAY LOGIN WITH THE USER ON THE PAYMENT DEVICE

PRINTER NOTE: The CFD requires the iPad Printer ID to be

entered for the Default Printer on the iPad Settings.

IMPORTANT!: The Aries 8 setup requires TCP/IP configuration

on the Settings > Credit Card Readers AND in the Card Reader
as the same.

On the CFD Card Reader ensure that both the Edgeserv App
and TYSS BroadPOS app are running.

In the Back Office under General > Credit Card Reader

Click the CHECK CONNECTION on each reader to ensure the
software can communicate with issue.

If any of these cause issues then the network is preventing

proper communication with card reader.

You can also download the iNET tool from the app store on
the card reader to test the network.
After installation tap Port Scan to ensure that ports 8891 and
10009 are open.
