Second Quarter Performance Task

The Philippines is one of the countries in the world that is affected by a major
health problem and is currently facing a pandemic crisis, known as the COVID-19
virus. It already killed millions of people in the whole world. Health workers and
front liners are working very hard to fight off this crisis. The said virus is known for
its fast transmission that leads to creating new variants. In line with this, boosting
the immune system is very vital as this organ system is responsible for fighting
foreign invaders such as viruses. Practices that promote overall health and wellness
make us more resilient in this time of the pandemic. As one of the frontliners and
field researchers in the community, you are tasked to gather and disseminate
information about the covid-19 virus and its effects on one’s health condition
through a leaflet. Thus, promoting proper nutrition and healthful habits in order to
maintain proper functioning of the organ systems. The leaflet will be disseminated,
shared, and made available to the community members.
The research content (data) must include the following:
 identity/ nature of the virus
 how this virus can be observed under the microscope
 mode of reproduction/ how long does this virus grow in huge
numbers by giving sample instances
 development of the virus under certain conditions (temperature,
time, and etc.)

The research content (data) must be accurate and reliable. As evidence for
reliability and accuracy, cite the sources of your researched information.

The research content (data) must be placed in a long sheet bond paper with
normal margin, Century Gothic font style and 11-font size. Paragraphs should be
emphasized.

The leaflet must include the following:

 tabular representation of the data gathered

  science-based practices of caring for the organ systems (immune
system)
 helpful tips in caring for the immune system with appropriate graphics
 writing effective summary and paraphrase from the data gathered
 correct bibliographical entries
Example: The COVID-19 is a virus known to its fast transmission (Ganoy,
2022).

Reminders!

 The leaflet is the major output of the Second Quarter Performance Task
integrated across three subjects (Math, English, and Science).
 You need to submit an output in a long sheet bond paper containing the
researched information mentioned above.
 Technically, two outputs need to be submitted; the leaflet and the research
content (data).
 DO NOT INCLUDE THE MEMBERS WHO DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN
MAKING THE TASK.
