I. A. Title: Delusional: Effects on Student's Academic Performance at Vedasto R.

Santiago High School

B. Background of the Title

Most of Generation Z, or "Gen Z," is currently known as "delulu," which means
being delusional. For them, it is a way to become optimistic in uncertain situations.
Yet there are people who view this in a negative way since being delusional can lead
to depression and harm. The internal motivating condition interferes with logical
reasoning. Moreover, adults tend to compare their generation to today's. The
objective of this study is to find out if being delusional in this generation is really
helpful for students to effectively carry out academic performance. This study will be
able to contribute to students behavioral well-being even if either of the two is
proven correct. It will also affect teachers and parents in understanding of Gen Z’s
way of living compared to what they believe "should be" and its practices.

C. Variables
IV: The main problem of this study is that students are delusional, which affects their
academic performance at school. Delusions are false beliefs and external realities,
which are also commonly known as mental conditions in some cases. However, Gen
Z perceives it as a way to cope with their uncertainty in life.
DV: The student’s academic performance is affected by being delusional because the
student could either utilize it in a positive or negative way. According to Rachel Shin
(2023), Gen Z’s new trend of "being delulu" is a hacking way of achieving career
success. Thus, the academic performance of the students is affected because of their
decisions.
D. Expected Outcomes
This quantitative study aims to prove that being delusional in this generation is not
bad at all. It seeks to help the students improve their academic performance at school.
To become more competent and optimistic despite eco-anxiety and mental health
issues among Gen Z. This study also hopes to contribute to making adults realize that
Gen Z, especially students or teenagers, have a different way of coping with life.
Furthermore, the lower the affective filter, the higher the chance for students to
actively participate in class (Krashen, 1986).

I. A. Title: Attachment Issues: Impact of Pet Loss on Student's Mental Health

B. Background of the Title

Pets are proven by medical experts to relieve stress, and the most commonly
known from this category are the dogs, which are considered man’s best friend.
According to Philstar’s report on February 2, 2023, on the Rakuten Survey in Asia,
the Philippines ranked first in terms of dog ownership with 67% and second in terms
of cat ownership with 43%. Based on local news, most women chose to become
childless and were most likely to adopt a pet. The unconditional love for them is
priceless, but the painful reality is highly inescapable. Pets have shorter lives than
humans, so death is inevitable for them as well. Yet another social issue has risen this
year because of a senior citizen who was arrested for selling dog meat, and some were
arrested as dog traders in Nueva Ecija. Nonetheless, despite a growing appreciation
for the qualitative differences, attachment in adolescence remains relatively modest
when compared to the study of attachment in infancy and childhood (Allen et al.,
2007). This study aims to collect information from students about their attachment
issues with their pets and how their loss affects their mental health. It seeks to reveal
the hardships of pet owners and achieve respect and appreciation for animals and
humans.
C. Variables
IV: The main problem of this study is the attachment issues of pet owners. If it could
affect them in a most motivating or discouraging way of thinking. It seeks to uncover
whether the death of their pet could affect their mental health. The actions of the pet
owners can show how deep their attachment issue is.
DV: The student’s mental health is affected by their attachment issue due to the death
of their pet(s). Either their pet’s death motivates them to take care of and appreciate
the nature of animals, or it discourages them because of their viewpoint about the idea
of losing and leaving. Mental health, which is connected to an individual’s actions,
determines how the students perform at school and at home.
D. Expected Outcomes
This qualitative study seeks to uncover the truth that pet owners have an attachment
issue that affects their mental health. This study will be able to contribute to one out
of thousands of society’s problems, which is decreasing the number of stray dogs and
cats in the Philippines by understanding the attachment issues of pet owners. In a way
of offering a suggestion on how a pet owner could cope with their lives and become a
better member of the community for the country. This study seeks to help pet owners
by strengthening their protection of animals.

I. A. Title: Gasoline Price Hike: Impact on Driver's Budget “Afternoon Dismissal” at

Salacot, San Miguel, Bulacan
II.
B. Background of the Title
Due to the increase in students each year, the number of classrooms is not sufficient to cover
them. The Department of Education (DepEd) offers to call off classes due to the extreme heat in
the country last April and to implement shorter classes as teachers pursue it for students. The
shortage of classrooms still exists in the country, up to 159, 000, which also shortens the quality
of education as issued. Regardless of how hard the situation is for the parents, teachers, and
students, the drivers or "service" should also be considered as being affected by such an issue. In
addition to that, the "Jeepney Phase Out" controversy is still debatable. This study aims to
evaluate the impact of the gasoline price hike on the drivers or services of the students at Salacot,
San Miguel, Bulacan. This study seeks to assess the drivers or services of the students in light of
the gasoline price hike in the country. It hopes to become supporting evidence and logical
reasoning for the revelation of the confidential funds for DepEd. Moreover, it aims to become a
defensive bullet for fighting for the rights of Filipinos in the West Philippine Sea territory.

C. Variables
IV: The main problem in this study is the gasoline price hike in the Philippines.
Though school dismissal for other grade levels was shortened due to some factors that
were mentioned, the budget of the drivers or service will surely be affected by this.
The price increase caused by the Russia-Ukraine war has been worsened by low
productivity growth and an inefficient distribution system (Conchada, M. I. P., et al.,
2023).
DV: The driver’s budget could be affected by the gasoline price hike in the country.
The question is whether there is a comparison between the short class or afternoon
dismissal and the regular time of dismissal for the students at school.

D. Expected Outcomes
This quantitative study aims to help Filipino customers achieve an affordable gasoline
price by proving that the country should avoid importing gasoline or fuel when there
are possible resources in the country. To keep the country from falling into the doom
of more loans because of the importation of goods. To become more competent and
independent economically. This study also hopes to contribute to making the
government not overlook the problems in the educational aspect.
