Ram Prasad
Sr. Data Analyst
Clouddatanow Tech
101 Solanki Street
Kanchan marg, Kolkata, West Bengal

Dear Ram Prasad,

It is my pleasure to strongly recommend Aashna Singhania for the Jr. Data Analyst role
with Clouddatanow Tech. I am Roshni Duttaa, a project manager at Asomtech Solutions.
I have 12 years of experience working in the tech industry and have seen many young
professionals come and go. Ms. Singhania is one individual I have worked with who
uniquely stands out.

During our time together, Aashna displayed great talents in data analytics. When we first
met, I was immediately impressed with Aashna but during the time we worked together,
her understanding of analyzing data to achieve results for our company grew far more
than that of her peers.

It’s not just her technical skills that impress me. Aashna was a joy to work with because
of her amazingly positive attitude and ability to communicate across teams. Her focus
and attention to detail were also necessary and valued not just by me but also by her peers
who often relied on her to get the job done.

I am absolutely confident that Aashna would be a great fit at Clouddatanow Tech. Not
only will she bring the kind of skills and experiences you’re looking for in an applicant,
but she will also quickly become an asset and help your company grow in any way she
can.

If you need more information or specific examples, please do not hesitate to contact me at
050 2948 2948. As a recommendation letter likely only provides a snapshot of her talents
and achievements, I would be happy to further elaborate on my time working with her.

Sincerely,

It has been a long time since we met. I hope you are doing well.

Summer vacation has already started, so I was thinking of spending the holiday

tour. There are some nice restaurants nearby offering delicious street food. We can
also visit some of the tourist places and shop at Colaba market.

lapse of eight months. I am looking forward to meeting you.

EXAMPLE of a Descriptive Letter:

Dear Ranfulhu,

Sorry for not writing for so long, but, as you know, the sports week has started and
I’m busy as a bee practicing for it. You know how much I love sports, don’t you?
Anyways, wait until I tell you something mind-boggling.

Guess what? The famous footballer Ashfaq visited our school last weekend.
Needless to say, I was on cloud nine - you know I’m his biggest fan. Well, it was
all thanks to our beloved Imthi sir that Ashfaq paid a visit. Yeah! He’s still the
same, he wants us to take part in sports. Do you know? Ashfaq taught us his crazy
ball skills and a million tricks. It was simply inexplicable.

We were so lucky to have a well-known sportsman like him training us. Can you
imagine? He really liked my moves and I was his favorite student. I did that
overhead flick I usually do and he was dumb struck. That’s not all, he took a selfie
with me and gave me his autograph. You know I won’t miss a chance for that,
don’t you? I wish you were also with us!

What’s more, he gave us some tips on valuable exercises and even gave the spoilt
rats over a million pieces of advice on moral values. He told me football is not all
about playing, but also about good behavior. Isn’t it sweeter than sugar? Truly, our
school was grateful that he came as many students idolize him.

Well, I got to dash now as I’ve to go to practice. Hey, don’t forget to comment on
my FB post and do reply ASAP!

Mr. Smith
Sales Manager
ABC Company

November 7, 2020

Dear Mr. Smith,

[Explain the situation] My name is Jane Murphy. I have been an employee with ABC Company for
over 10 years. Recently, I was moved, without warning, from the Customer Service Department to the
Billing Department.

[State why it is wrong/unjust] This came as a shock to me. My cubicle is lined with awards and
accolades for my ability to provide outstanding customer support. Copies of those certificates have
been attached. Not only is this where I excel, but it’s also where I’m happiest. Without a doubt, that is
a major reason for my professional success.

[State why it is wrong/unjust] Moving me to the Billing Department is doing your company a major
disservice. My strength in the Customer Service Department sets your company up to shine and
receive favorable customer reviews. I’ve also attached a copy of the wave of positive reviews your
company has received as a result of my efforts. Finally, my experience in billing is limited to customer
refunds. I’ve never been formally trained, nor do I wish to be.

[Briefly outline what you hope the new outcome will be.] It is my sincere desire that you will allow
me to return to my position as Customer Service Representative. If employee satisfaction is of concern
to you, I know you will consider this. Likewise, a continued flow of favorable customer reviews is
sure to come your way with such determination.

Thank you for your attention in this matter. You may reach me at 222-555-5555 or jane@email.com. I
look forward to your speedy response.

Respectfully yours,

(Signature, if hard copy)

Personal Apology Letter to a Friend

asks for the letter recipient's forgiveness or
patience. You can email this to them after
having time to think it over or condense the
sentiment into a text to send immediately after
something bad has happened.

EXAMPLE of a Personal Apology to a Friend:

Dear Marie,

[Express remorse.] I’m so sorry about the negative remarks I made about the toy
you bought my daughter for her birthday. I know that I previously told you that
Madison wanted that type of toy, so my inappropriate response is particularly
appealing. I really feel awful for how I responded to your kind gesture.

[Take responsibility.] My behavior is inexcusable. I can only say that in a time of

stress, I lost control of my temper and lashed out at you, even though you were
clearly only doing something nice for my daughter on her birthday. You did
nothing wrong.

[Make amends.] I am hoping that you will join me and Madison for tea next
weekend at the Plaza, my treat. I would love for us to be able to spend some time
together, just the three of us. I know she'll enjoy telling you in person how much
she has enjoyed the toy you gave her.

[Provide assurance.] You can rest assured that I will never react in such an
inappropriate way to your kindness in the future. I am truly sorry for my behavior
towards you at Madison's birthday party. You won’t have to endure my lashing out
ever again.

Love,

Cindy

Retirement Letter
 is an official notice stating an individual’s
resignation from their position and request for
any retirement benefits. Due to retirement
commonly being a well-thought-out process,
it’s best to give the employer six (6) to twelve

seeking retirement is probably a highly skilled
worker within the organization. Therefore, it’s
best to allow the employer a proper period to
prepare for the individual’s departure.

Dear Mr. Michaels,

This letter is meant to serve as an official notice of my retirement from Stainless

Steel Manufacturing, effective August 1, 2017.

My time with the company has filled me with a sense of purpose and belonging
that none other could offer. I have led the Manufacturing Division for the past
fifteen years and it has brought a deep sense of purpose to my life. I have been
blessed to have your support and I will always be thankful for the opportunity you
gave me.

This decision wasn’t an easy one. The reason I have officially decided to retire is
that my wife and I have found a small home in Florida where we’ll be able to
spend the rest of our days together. It pains me to think that I won’t be able to
contribute to the company we’ve built, but I feel that it would be best for me to
move on.

Stainless Steel Manufacturing will always have a place in my heart. Thank you for
the opportunity and best of luck in the years to come.

Sincerely,
Stan Lee
