    What type of alcohol?

    This exercise will help you to distinguish between primary, secondary and tertiary alcohols by
    their structure. Make sure that you know the difference between primary, secondary, and tertiary
    alcohols in terms of their structure.
    a. Classify each of these alcohols as either primary, secondary, or tertiary.
    Remember that the numbering of the –OH group should be from the end which gives the
    smallest number.
    b. Give the names of each of the alcohols shown in part a.
