What is NSTP 101?

NSTP 101, a 3-unit course for incoming first-year students,
seamlessly blends classroom and community interactions by
combining discussions, activities addressing societal and
environmental issues, and core community engagement
principles. NSTP’s main aim is to instill strong service ethics,
citizenship values, and civic readiness, particularly during crises.

What is NSTP 101?

NSTP 101 starts with the common modules, deepening
understanding of roles in promoting the common good, followed
by specific modules which focus on the dimensions of
development, and lastly some optional modules which refine
NSRC readiness and promote leadership.

What is NSTP 101?

Overall, NSTP students in this course will integrate theoretical
knowledge with practical application, equipping themselves to be
proactive contributors to society's growth and well-being across
various dimensions of development, embodying the values of an
informed, engaged, and morally-conscious citizens.

Grade Component: Attendance (20%)

▪ Trainees must be on time following the agreed class schedule

▪ Instructor will do the roll call to check the attendance and uniform

▪ Before the end of the class, student must affix his/her signature
in the attendance sheet. No signature, No attendance

▪ Scoring:
Present : 30 points
Late : 15-25 points (instructor’s discretion)
Absent : 0 point

▪ This component comprises of wearing of the prescribed uniform,

Reflection Paper Sample

Last September 19, 2020 we had our first ever virtual meeting with
our NSTP 101 teacher. While we were having our meeting I listened
carefully and took down notes while the teacher is speaking, I was also
called and got nervous but thankfully I answered the question with my stock
knowledge. The discussion went well and I understand easily the
discussion of Sir. After our discussion Sir gave us a little game and I
participated with the username name Jisoo, while answering the questions
that are given I got excited and nervous at the same time. I was ranked the
second place after the game but for me I had a great time because I am
enjoying the game while I am learning something, it is like hitting two birds
with one stone.

Learning NSTP is a new challenge to me because I am not familiar
with the subject so I expected that this subject would be difficult, but as the
discussion of Sir goes by I realized that it is not that hard with the help of
how he is discussing it to us. I also realized that there are three
components of NSTP Law which includes the Civic Welfare Training
Service (CWTS), Literacy Training Service (LTS), and lastly is the Reserve
Officers Training Corps (ROTC). I realized that NSTP is not just about the
ROTC that it also consist of other components, because when I was still in
my 10th grade we had our CAT every Friday and I concluded when I saw
my study load for this semester that in NSTP we will have marching
practicing and such. I am happy to learn that NSTP will help a student to
have a chance to contribute to its community even though it is just a little
thing.

Narrative Report Sample

April 17, 2021 at 12 pm, I took my attendance in the Moodle and right
after that I joined in the meeting. Mr. X, our instructor, started the meeting early
at 12:05 pm. Again, the meeting started with the prayer, Philippine National
Anthem, "Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas", and the UC Hymn. There were 38
participants in the meeting. Our instructor was then mentioned those students
who were not around.

The agenda for that meeting was to have comments about our Project
Proposal. Our instructor supposed to have his discussion about Monitoring and
Evaluation of Projects, and Documentation and Presentation of Project as well.
But because of not having enough time, he asked us instead to read it as he will
post it in the Moodle. Mr. X was then started commenting with TeamBayayong 1
all the way to TeamBayayong 8. He had his corrections and suggestions for our
project proposal. He also tasked the groups to implement our project proposal
starting next week. Mr. X wasn't able to comment the rest of the team which are
the TeamBayayong 9 and 10 because it was already time,1:30 pm. But he asked
those teams to stay in the meeting after he will end the session.

Our instructor was then announced for the coming quiz next meeting
and reminded us again our tasks which are the narrative report, 2nd draft of
Project Proposal, and the Implementation of this. Mr. X mentioned again those
students who were absent and then ended the session. For this session, I learned
something regarding our project proposal, and I am hoping that this project will
be successful as we are now implement it to the community.
