Introduction-Who am I?

If the world is not just a cosmic coincidence, but rather something intentionally designed and created by
a good God with a great purpose, wouldn’t you want to know what that purpose is?

It is my pleasure to show you from God’s Word the purpose of this life and The Way Salvation—And His
name is Jesus.

Who Is Jesus?
-First time He is mentioned is in Genesis 3:15
-He will be the solution to the fall
-He will be the victor
-Throughout the OT we have prophecies foretold that He will fulfill (Aprox. 354)
-Where he would be born (Micah 5:2)
-Names He would be called (Is. 7:14)
-Words He would says (Ps. 22)
-Angel visits Mary
-You will have a son
-His name will be Jesus
-He was born (Luke 2)
-4 books of the NT are dedicated to telling us about the life and work of Jesus on Earth.
And in those 4 books we see so many incredible stories of WHO HE was and what He was like

1. He is a teacher (He had followers, he spoke to the crowds)

a. All desired to have a teacher to follow and learn from
b. Thousands of people followed him around to listen to him speak
2. He is a healer (raised the dead, healed the sick)
a. Healed the deaf, blind, crippled, raised people from the dead
3. He is all powerful
a. Made fish appear, calmed the storms, raised from the dead
4. He is love (loved people, cared about people, looked to care for their needs, died for you and
me)

Who was Jesus thought to be?

If you want to know about someone, who should you ask, people who only know things about this
person, or people extremely close to that person?

-JOHN- Only spoke of himself as the Disciple whom Jesus loved, Jesus asked him to care for His mother
 -The Word of God (John 1, Gen 1), John 20:31
-PETER- Always found close to Jesus, was given primary authority to proclaim the gospel at Pentecost
-The Christ (Matt. 16:16)
-12 DISCIPLES- All twelve were martyred for preaching Jesus as the Christ (except John, but he was
banished)

Who Does Jesus Say He is? (John 14:6)

-I am the WAY
-Not a GPS
-Not a Guide
-But THE WAY
-I am the TRUTH
-Truth is not relative
-Jesus doesn’t tell us the truth.
-He is THE TRUTH
-I am the LIFE
-What is your life, what is the point?
-What are you living for?
-Jesus lived, and Died so you may Die and then Live
-He is The LIFE you need.

Jesus is not a Genie, He is so much better than that!

Who do you Believe Jesus to be?

1. Liar-He claimed to to be God (If he isn’t he is a liar)
2. Lunatic- Thought he was God and didn’t know the difference
3. LORD-He is who He says HE is (GOD)

What will you do with HIM?

Accept Him

Reject Him
