Policy on Disciplinary Procedure.

ASHTON APPAREL (EPZ) LIMITED requires directors, general managers, managers, officers,
supervisors and employees to observe high standard of professional conduct and responsibility.
The following Disciplinary Procedure is to be followed if or when an allegation is brought to the
attention of the HR office/Management, General Managers, officers or supervisors or any
person with authority. The process and actions must be in compliance with the sections 41, 43
and 45 of the Employment Act 2007.

The following approved due process is to be followed:


A. The allegation must be brought to the attention of the concerned individual through a
show cause notice/ letter, where he or she is asked to show –cause/ provide reasons
why the disciplinary action should not be carried against him/her on the basis of the
allegation. Reasonable time period of more than 24 hours should be given to concerned
individual to respond.
B. In case of gross-misconducts: The individual will be further invited to a disciplinary
hearing on the basis of the allegation. He/she can be accompanied by a witness of
his/her choice or can be accompanied by a representative from the Workers
representative committee. Transcripts/Minutes of the hearing should be taken/
recorded during the meeting and signed by all in attendance.
C. The disciplinary action: The disciplinary action can vary from the range of issuing of
Warning (in written) to termination. The Summary and details of which will be
communicated employee in question. Following which the case is closed [Refer Code of
Ethics Page 11].
