Summarize the proposal by Anton Checkhov's

In this play comedy "The Proposal" by Anton Checkhov's, there are 3 the main characters,
they are :
Chubukov as a landowner, Natalya as a daughter of Chubukov, and Lomov as a close
neighbour of Chubukov.

In the first play, Lomov came Chubukov's house to meet him. Chubukov, who was pleased
with his neighbour's arrival, welcomed him warmly. Nevertheless what made Chubukov
surprised when Lomov came to his house wearing a very formal dress (wearimg a dress-
jacket and white gloves). Chubukov asked Lomov to tell him the purpose of Lomov's in
coming to his house for what, and Lomov answered that he came to his house to the propose
to his daughter namely Natalya. After Chubukov heard of Lomov's the purpose in coming to
his house to propose to his daughter, he was very happy and touched.
Lomov immediately met Natalya. At that time, Natalya was in the kitchen and came to see
Lomov because her father called her to meet Lomov, after which Natalya offered Lomov to
have lunch together but Lomov politely declined. Then Natalya asked Lomov why he was
wearing such formal attire, Lomov replied nervously and to discuss about Lomov's inherited
land. Natalya is shocked to hear that she knows that the land are actually still property to her
own family not Lomov. The play then descends into an argument over who has the right to
said property, they were fighting over about property the Oxen Meadows. They shout at each
other saying it is mine not yours. Then Chubukov arrives and asks what made the two of
them fight, Natalya tells her father that Lomov claims that Oxen Meadows belongs to him.
Chubukov was very angry with Lomov's remarks. Chubukov told him it property belonged to
his family but Lomov also insisted it was his. Lomov insisted he would prove it was his and
he wanted to take the matter to court. Howeever, Chubukov and his daughter vilified the
Lomov family. This made Lomov even angrier. Then Lomov left the Chubukov house in a
rage. After Lomov leaves, Chubukov tells his a daughter namely Natalya that Lomov wants
to propose to Natalya. Natalya is shocked and she asks someone to remake it. Finally the
problem with the Oxen Meadows property was resolved and they discussed their request. But
after that the dispute in drama came again, when they compared who was good and who was
bad. The debate got hotter, it made Lomov feeling weak, his legs numb and he was unable to
bear the shock in life. Chubukov and Natalya thought that he was dead. Then Lomov woke
up and Chubukov put Lomov's and Natalya's hands, he told them to get married. Natalya
agrees with this point. Lomov and Natalya were very happy then they hugged and the finally
they lived happily ever after.
