ENGLISH IMMERSION PROGRAM

INTERMEDIATE 1 – MIDTERM COMPOSITION

EXAM

GUIDELINES (STUDENTS MUST CHOOSE ONLY ONE TOPIC)

EXAM A:

Write at least TWO Paragraphs telling a story (REAL OR MADE UP) about a time
you overcame a challenge or big problem.
Students will write two or three paragraphs in English telling a story real or invented, about a
time they had to face a extremely difficult situation, and everything they have to do to
overcome it. They need to include as many details as possible.

They should include:

• Names and location of places.

• Correct tense structures.
• Activities they carried out.
• Clear descriptions of feelings and emotions.
• Proper vocabulary.
• Any other relevant information they might want to add.

Students must write 160 words minimum (proper nouns do not count).

Students CAN´T use cellphones or dictionaries during this task.

This is an individual activity and students need to keep proper distance.

Students will have 45 minutes to finish this task.

Students will write at least two paragraphs in English about their BEST FRIENDS, describing
everything about this person.

They should include:

• Daily routines.
• Detailed descriptions of personality and appearance.
• Activities that they do together.
• Correct tense structures.
• Using the proper vocabulary.
• Any other relevant information they might want to add.

Students must write 160 words minimum (proper nouns do not count).

Students CAN´T use cellphones or dictionaries during this task.

This is an individual activity and students need to keep proper distance.
