Introduction
The US and UK are two well known nations with different historical, cultural, and political
backgrounds. Though they share their language they have various differences that shape
their societies and influence their citizens' daily lives. Understanding these differences is
crucial for gaining insights into the unique characteristics of these nations.

With this work we aim to compare the cultures of the US and the UK. By examining key
areas such as politics, tourism, gastronomy, holidays, traditions,etc. we want to see the
contrasting features these countries have between each other.

Statue of Liberty - New London Eye

York
New York is one of the most
visited cities on the planet
due to the amount of things
to do and the essential
places to visit. You will find
in its streets people of all
nationalities, daily, walking
its most famous streets and
Tourist places monuments. One of the
most important tourist
places in the United States
is the Statue of Liberty, a
huge sculpture that
welcomes all foreigners and
visitors on the coast of
Manhattan.
The London Eye already
provides unparalleled views
of London and now, with the
addition of a bespoke movie
experience, offers another
magical and entertaining
way to experience the UK's
capital. At 135 metres, the
London Eye is the world's
tallest cantilevered Ferris
wheel, a feat of design and
engineering that has
become the modern symbol
of the capital and a global
icon.

American cuisine is a British cuisine has a rich

diverse and flavorful culinary
tradition that reflects the
country's history of
immigration and regional
influences. Some popular
dishes in the United States
Typical food include:
Hamburger: This iconic
American dish consists of a
ground beef patty served in
a bun, often accompanied
culinary heritage influenced
by history, geography, and
local traditions. Here are
some typical dishes from the
United Kingdom:
Fish and Chips: This iconic
British dish consists of
battered and deep-fried fish
(usually cod or haddock)
served with thick-cut potato
chips. It is often
 by cheese, lettuce,
tomatoes, pickles, and
condiments like ketchup and
mustard.
Hotdog: A grilled or
steamed sausage served in
a sliced bun, often topped
with mustard, ketchup,
onions, relish, and
sometimes cheese or chili.
Barbecue: BBQ is a
beloved American cooking
style that varies across
regions. It involves
slow-cooking meats like
ribs, pulled pork, or brisket
over a wood fire or using a
charcoal grill, and then
smothering them in a tangy
and flavorful sauce.
4th of July
July 4th (also known as
Independence Day) is an
American holiday celebrated
annually.Whether you buy
your own fireworks or watch
a local fireworks display,
lighting fireworks is a long-
standing tradition for
Americans on the 4th of
July. Many people love to
celebrate Independence
Holidays Day with a bang!
accompanied by mushy
peas and tartar sauce.
Full English Breakfast: A
hearty breakfast meal that
typically includes fried eggs,
bacon, sausages, baked
beans, grilled tomatoes,
mushrooms, and toast.
Black pudding (a type of
blood sausage) and hash
browns are sometimes
included as well.
Roast Beef and Yorkshire
Pudding: A traditional

Yorkshire pudding (a crispy,
fluffy batter), roasted
potatoes, vegetables, and
gravy.
Burns Night (January 25)
Burns Night is celebrated in
honor of the Scottish poet
Robert Burns (1759–1796).
He is best known for writing
the song "Auld Lang Syne,"
which is traditionally sung at
the stroke of midnight when
New Year's Eve becomes
New Year's Day. Many
Scots celebrate Burns' Night
by eating haggis, a savory
pudding made from sheep
puck and other ingredients,
and reading the poet's
works aloud with company.

Martin Luther King
Celebrated on the third
Monday of January, this day
honors Martin Luther King
Jr., a leader of the civil rights
movement in the United
States. Events and activities
are held to promote racial
equality and social justice.
Government System
Pancake Day
A curious tradition that the
English have is the
"Pancake Day", which takes
place on Shrove Tuesday,
which in turn is the Tuesday
that falls 41 days before the
beginning of spring and is
related to the eve of the
Lenten fast.
The government system
The United Kingdom is a
constitutional monarchy and a
parliamentary system. The
monarch has a mainly
ceremonial role, while the
executive power lies with the
government led by the Prime
Minister. The legislative power
resides in Parliament, which
consists of the House of
Commons and the House of
Lords. The Parliament has the
authority to pass laws and
oversee the government. The
system is characterized by
parliamentary supremacy and
a lack of a written constitution
in a single document.

Conclusions

In conclusion, both the United States and the United Kingdom have a range of festivities and
celebrations that reflect their history, culture, and traditions. These holidays, such as
Thanksgiving, Independence Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Queen's Day, hold special meaning
for the people who celebrate them and often become moments of family bonding and
reflection. These festivities also provide an opportunity to share and preserve the customs
and values of each country.

In my opinion we find that these issues have too much diversity of debate since you can
easily choose something that you like and discuss it by having them come to which of their
customs or foods or this type of topic a conclusion that favors everyone is finally reached.

After finishing doing this activity, I can conclude that both cultures, Us and UK have many
differences between them, for example in the UK they still have a monarchy, otherwise US
has a culture of democracy, the holidays they had are also different between them, for
example the Burnt´s Day and the 4th of July, a thing they both have in common is that they
have a representative place, for example London Eye and New York City, which are famous
worldwide.

makes today what each of the cultures is.

In this work I realize that most of the things that each one has is very different, especially in
the matter that nothing is the same, maybe a tradition is shared, but after all, there are things
that are very different. , like the food and variants, it really does not hurt me to visit both to
see the best of them

has too much diversity, not only because of the different things but also because each one
lives with a different style, although it is logical since they are very different things between

In conclusion, when looking at the great properties that the United States and the United
Kingdom have, we realize that both are very different and each one has a unique property
that is very nice and exclusive to each one. My final point of view is that it is something
complex that each one has and it is to admire their different customs

In my opinion, what the United States has is too varied than what is from the United
Kingdom, however, I notice that both have interesting traditions, and it would really not hurt
me to be able to investigate them in depth or even live them and thus learn more about their
cultures and traditions
