Vipin Rana, CEO, ExxonMobil Lubricants Pvt. Ltd. gets candid about what his company
is doing differently to meet the growing demands of the ever evolving and competitive
manufacturing industry.
Tell us about your experience and key learnings you
derived associating with the Festival of Manufacturing?
It was an honour to be amongst the esteemed group of
industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and academics who came
together to discuss the growth and advancement of India's
manufacturing sector at the Festival of Manufacturing. The
event presented an enriching platform for exchanging ideas,
knowledge-sharing, and networking with industry peers.
The event rightly highlighted the importance of balancing
economic development with long-term efficiency. As we forge
ahead in the manufacturing sector, we must remain mindful
of the correlation between human progress and sustainability.
The manufacturing industry has a significant role to play in
achieving this equilibrium, and it's encouraging to see the
Indian industry’s progress towards this end.
The exchange of ideas during the festival will
undoubtedly lead to new innovations and opportunities for
growth, and I look forward to seeing the continued progress
and success of India's manufacturing sector in the years
ahead.

What are the key trends and factors dominating the

lubricants segment?
The Indian lubricants segment in the manufacturing
industry has experienced significant growth, backed by
several trends and factors. The current market size is one of

Decarbonising India’s
Manufacturing Sector
The share of India’s industrial emissions in overall emissions is projected to increase from
28 per cent in 2020 to 35 per cent in 2040. This highlights the need for policy actions that
look beyond the incremental process, efficiency gains and aim for deep decarbonisation
of industrial energy use. With this session, we get closer to knowing policies, technology
