Eligibility of Candidates
(A) For Railway Personnel:

Working employees of Indian Railways, Konkan Railway, Port Trust Railways and also
employees of RITES, IRCON, CONCOR, CRIS, DFCCL, RVNL, KRCL, RLDA and any
other organization working Under the Ministry of Railways.

(i) High School/SSC or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 3 years experience in

Railways.
Or
(ii) Minimum three years Diploma in any Engineering discipline recognised by Central/
State Governments/ Union Territory.
Or
(iii) A Science/ Commerce /Engineering graduate (B.Sc./B.Com/B.E.) or a graduate
(B.A. etc.) in any discipline from a recognised University having Mathematics or
Science as one of the subjects in Intermediate or plus 2 of SSC Examination.

(B) For Non-Railway Persons:

(i) Minimum three years Diploma in any Engineering discipline recognised by Central
Government/ State Governments/ Union Territory.

Or
(ii) A Science/ Commerce /Engineering graduate (B.Sc./B.Com/B.E.) or a graduate (B.A.
etc.) in any discipline from a recognised University having Mathematics or Science as
one of the subjects in Intermediate or plus 2 of SSC Examination.

Course fees
Semester - I Semester - II
Railway Personnel Rs.2500/- + Rs.450/- GST Rs.3000/- +540/- GST
Non - Railway Personnel Rs.3000/- + 540/- GST Rs.3500/- +630/- GST
 Benefits
(i) As Per Rly Board Letter No.2017/E(Trg)/30/14 dated 7.10.2022, an one time
incentive of Rs. 10,000/- for acquiring higher Qualification by Government Employee
shall be permissible.
(ii) Diploma in Railway Engineering has been accredited by the Institution of Engineers
(India), Kolkata and the candidates possessing the above qualification are eligible
to become Sr. Technician Members of their Institution and can pursue their studies
further in Engineering & technology courses offered by the Institution of Engineers
(India), Kolkata.

How to Apply
(i) Applicant can download admission form from website ipweindia.org.in and can send
the same to IPWE office at New Delhi along with fee of Rs. 3100/- in case of Railway
Personnel and Rs. 3690/- in case of Non Railway Personnel along with attested
copy of Certificates
(ii) The cost of Prospectus has been included in above amount. The fee can be
deposited through Demand Draft/ IMPS/RTGS/NEFT or in cash at New Delhi Office.

(iii) After receiving application, study Material, Admit Card and Prospectus will be sent
to Candidates at his/her address.
(iv) Candidates can deposit Application form with Fee in Cash at IPWE Office, at New
Delhi on above mentioned address.

Contact Classes
Note: This year, Contact Classes will be arranged for giving one week’s intensive
training to the students. It is advised that the students should participate in
Contact Classes to have an insight in Railway’s Working. Fee of Contact classes is
Rs.3000/- + 18% Service Tax. Joining to Contact Classes is Optional and
Not Compulsory.
