Activity Observing a Curriculum in a Classroom

Questions for observation and interview


1. What curricula are present in the classroom from my observation?
Answer: From my observations, the curricula observed in the classroom consist of the seven curricula,
encompassing both the material found in textbooks and content, along with the concepts outlined in the
regional curriculum guide.
2. What curricula are present in the classroom from my interview?
Answer: From my interview, the curricula identified in the classroom include the recommended
curriculum, written curriculum, taught curriculum, supported curriculum, assessed curriculum, learned
curriculum, and hidden curriculum.
3. How do I describe what I observed? Interviewed?
Answer: What I have observed is that the classroom is structured with a meticulously designed
curriculum. The interviewee, an elementary school teacher, possesses considerable expertise in the
curricula implemented in the classroom. She adeptly utilizes each curriculum as a guide to formulate
her lessons, ensuring the creation of optimal learning opportunities.
4. Is there a type of curricula not present in the classroom? Identify.
Answer: From my observations and the interview with the teacher, I haven't identified any curricula
that are absent in the classroom. The teacher actively incorporates the curricula into the teaching and
learning processes.
