Designation: Deputy Manager

Reporting to: Deputy General Manager – Operational Excellence

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Establishing and maintaining Integrated Management System (IMS) in the plant and to coordinate surveillance
/ to recertify audit with certifying body.
2. Planning and execution of internal audits, external audits, supplier audits and ensuring closing of all non-
conformances identified in the system.
3. To work along with the development team and to establish the new customer’s requirements and to update
the process & product quality procedures as accordingly during APQP stage.
4. To Drive key projects in the shop floor to improve quality assurance activities.
5. To modify and introduce procedures, and work instructions as per the newly revised standards, customer
specifications & process validation results.
6. Handling customer complaints along with the cross-functional team and identifying the root cause thereby
implementing the corrective action. Also, analysis of customer complaints through 8D Reports.
7. Conducting internal audits (QMS, process & product audit) through an automotive process approach to
ensure compliance with the requirements (internal & customer) and suggestion OFI which has led to
improvements from time to time.
8. To prepare, review & control of welding procedure specifications, procedure qualification records & welder
performance qualification records in accordance with ASME section IX, EN, and ISO Standards for various cast
steelgrades in SMAW process.
9. Conducting sub-contractor & supplier qualification audits & regular monitoring of their performance.
10. Monitoring the process quality by validation & verification by using Statistical techniques.
11. Measuring and monitoring the process of poor quality.
12. To provide training to the employees/ workers in the areas of IMS, 7QC Tools, Handling customer complaints,
preparing of Quality reports, welding procedures & records, etc.
Functional Competencies

• Educational Qualification & Experience: Degree in mechanical engineering/Industrial engineering with a


minimum 12 years of experience in Industrial Manufacturing Companies.
• Knowledge on Safety.
• Experience in Customer Quality and handling issues/complaints related to quality at customer end (at
customer line as well as in the field).

• Proficiency in inspection techniques, gages, MSA.
• Knows quality tools and techniques and has good knowledge of addressing emerging issues with at most
speed and efficiency.
• Hands-on experience in the development of PFMEAs, risk mitigation plans, and Control plans.
• Audit skills (Product, Process & Quality System), Preferably Lead Auditor certified in ISO 9001.
• Basic Computer skills - MS Office, Presentation skills.

• Good Communication Skills – Able to write good English. Spoken Hindi would be an added advantage.
