1. What is the importance of Professional Regulation Commission Identification

Card in our profession?

- The privilege of legally wielding a Professional Regulation Commission

Identification Card can be regarded as you are given an ID for proof of one's own

professional level, or as the highest form of regard towards the field of expertise

wherein persons granted with this certification or legitimately expected to

comply with the regulatory laws and policies of the country with respect to the

regulation and licensing of the various professions and occupations under its

jurisdiction, especially in the field of architecture, including the enhancement

and maintenance of professional and occupational standards and ethics and the

enforcement of the rules and regulations relative thereto.

2. What is the importance of Professional Tax Receipt in our profession?

- Professionally speaking, the Professional Tax Receipt is the official receipt of the

professional tax to the area where licensed individuals are certified to practice their

profession. According to BIR, professionals in architecture or in any other field are

only eligible to legally practice their profession when they obtain their PTR. This is

also proof of payment as a responsible professional and taxpayer.

3. What is the importance of Integrated and Accredited Professional Organization

of Architects in our profession?

- Being a part of a prestigious organization, namely the United Architects of the

Philippines is an honour and a wonderful opportunity, especially for young and new

professionals where the need for improvement and maintenance of professional

standards and ethics and the enforcement of such rules and regulations is upheld.
Being affiliated with the UAP and other Accredited Professional Organization of

Architects also grants aspiring professionals the access to newest trends and

practices, social, environmental, and environmental factors regarding the practice of

architecture, and many other important topics that will enable these juniors to

implement into his/her work or projects the knowledge and wisdom gained from

their tenured and experienced seniors.

4. What is the importance of United Architects of the Philippines in our

profession?

- Being affiliated with the United Architectects of the Philippines (UAP) is similar to that

of the IAPOA as it is an organization driven to advance our nation’s quality of life and

protect the public’s health, safety and welfare and also the added benefit to grant

their aspiring juniors access to the most recent trends and practices, social,

environmental, and environmental aspects of the practice of architecture, as well as

many other crucial topics that will enable these them to apply the knowledge and

wisdom obtained from their highly qualified and accomplished seniors to their work

or projects. It is also important to know that the UAP are willing to cooperate and

coordinate with other allied professions, trade and industry in developing

progressive ideas in architecture and environmental concerns as well as their

practical application for the welfare of the community and country.
