Unit 4 Telephone Conversation
STUDENT A

You are Mr. Harold Stone and you work for a big finance company. You want to have lunch
with Mr. Black to discuss his company’s electronic products. It is important that you meet
this week.

Phone Mr. Black (Student B) and arrange a time and day. Remember, you are busy all day
Monday and Wednesday and have meetings until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.

Use phrases such as:

STUDENT B

You are Mr. Black and you are the boss of a big electronics company. Mr. Stone (Student A)
is going to phone you to arrange an important business meeting. Try to arrange a time and
day when you can have lunch together. Remember you are busy on Friday and can’t meet
for lunch before 2:00 p.m. on Monday and Thursday.

Use phrases such as:


Nice Harold, I think your proposal is very good, no

Hi, how are you?
No problem!
