1. DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTION

EGETROINC’s Earth Fault Indicator type FDP 020 -220 is specially designed to be used with
the SCADA system
 The FDP Indicators are equipped with built in test
circuit using a face – mounted box.
 Test button allow self-testing the indicator operation
without need external current injection
 Front mounted Led indicates wrong connection of the
equipment.
 No need for a special treatment in handling,
transportation, installation, or storage of the FDP
indicator,it is a special rugged design.

2. CONTENTS
EGETROINC’s Earth Fault Indicator FD0 consists of:
 Indicator Box with a Fluorescent coated red flag.
 Epoxy molded detachable current transducer.

3. OPERATION MECHANISM
 The Flag Changes to Red Color (Set Condition)
in case of the earth fault current increases the
rated pre- set value (e.g.25 amp ) and auxiliary
supply switched off
 The indicator flag turns to the black site
(Automatically reset) by the healthy return of the
auxiliary supply
 As an option the indicator may be equipped with
a relay with 2 normally open contacts. The relay
energies in case the earth current increases the
rated pre-set value and de-energized when the
current dropped or if the auxiliary supply switched off.

INSTALLATION
5.1 Earth Fault Sensor Installation
 Install the current transformer around the cables by using the plastic belt
 Pass the shield through the current transformer ring
 Connect the shield to the ground.
5.2 Connection Sensor Transformer
