in not more than 500 words for each subsection. Use relevant examples, illustrations as far as
possible.
 All answers to be written individually. Discussion and group work is not advisable.
 Students are free to refer to any books/reference material/website/internet for attempting their
assignments, but are not allowed to copy the matter as it is from the source of reference.

 Students should write the assignment in their own words. Copying of assignments from other
students is not allowed.

Interpretation

1. Mr. A bought an electronic devise from one of the retail stores of M/s ABC Limited, an Indian
electronics company. Later Mr. A applied for replacement of one of its parts within warranty
period. The retail store rejected Mr. A’s application by claiming that there is negligence on his
part. Explain the obligation of the retail store under Sale of Goods Act. Explain whether remedy

2. Super majority of Indian workers work in unorganized sectors. Usually, they are deprived of
benefits available to workers in organized sectors. Explain how new Code on Labor Laws is
intended to extend such benefits to workers in unorganized sector (10 Marks)

3. Mr. M is a citizen & resident of USA. Mr. M wishes to enter into partnership with Mr. X who
is citizen & resident of India and form a partnership firm in India. Majority of the firm’s capital
is proposed to be invested from Mr. M.

a. Analyze whether Mr. M and Mr. X can form a partnership firm in India (5 Marks)

b. Analyze relevance of Indian Partnership Laws – in the era of globalization and e-commerce
(5 Marks)
