1- What are the four main climate regions that the Arab world fall in?
Arid climate, semi-arid climate, moderate Mediterranean climate and tropical wet climate.

2- What are the main characteristics of deserts?

Deserts receive very little precipitation. Desert land frequently loses moisture though evaporation. Desert climate
is very hot and dry. Not many plants and animals can survive in the desert.

3- Why has the Ghouta Oasis been decreasing in size?

Because of the rapid expansion of housing and industry in the city.

4- How do some plants adapt to arid climate?

They grow long roots that tap water from deep underground.
