4th generation : total etch and 3 steps. My 2 exemples of 4th generation

adhesives are the following :

- SYNTAC :
Composed of 60% of water, 30% of dimethacrilate and glutaraldehyde.
The force of adhesion of the dentin is 24 MPa and to the enamel is 25
MPa

- ALL BOND 3 :
is having an hydrophobic nature with a solvent based on ethanol, and
have good results with porcelain and composite restoration. The force
of adhesion is more or less 20 MPa

Even of ALL BOND 3 has a lower value of adhesion force, its hydrophobic
resin coating give it an advantage comparing to the syntac in regards to
the water degradation prevention

- TETRIC : inorganic filler is 68.2 wt.% and elastic modulus is 600000

GPa

- Filtek flow 3M-Espe : innorganic filler is 68% and elastic modulus is

600000MPa- 12 GPa

For anterior restoration, we need highly aesthetic and resistant

components. I would need either hybrid resin for their large range of
color and the excellent polishing ability, or micro particle resin for the
transparency they offer, and so we can reach an natural and aesthetic
result such as the microfilm composite of RENAMEL that offers a good
wear resistance

con hábitos parafuncionales :

In adults that present parafunctional habits such as bruxism, I would try

to find an option with the greatest occlusal force resistance, because it
has high chances of failure due to the occlusal loads. I would use FIBER
REINFORCED COMPOSITE that present good durability stiffness and
resistance. This composite, however, seems to present bad reaction at the
surface of teeth so we might cover it with a conventional composite to
offer the best of both!
