Objective
This activity aims to gather information on how learners define hazards and disasters.

Materials
● Manila paper
● Old newspaper or magazine
● Crayons
● Color Permanent pens (assorted colors- blue, black, red, green)
● Glue
● Tape
● Pair of scissors

Before you start this activity, let the students ponder:


To you, what is a hazard? What is a disaster?

Instruction to Students
1. Choose a group representative who will present your group output (5 mins allotted
time for presentation per group).
2. You will be given the materials listed above.
3. Browse through the old newspaper or magazine given to your group and select
materials that can be used to help you describe and define what hazards and disasters
mean to you. Cut out these materials.
4. On the manila paper provided, make a collage using the cut outs from the newspaper.
