Heerden’s four tools for managing conflict, enabling them to apply these

Introduction
The class will start with an ice breaker activity called “2 truths and a
conflict”.
Each student will take a turn to share 2 true statements about 10 min
themselves and 1 conflict statement that they recently experienced.

The goal is for the class to identify which type of conflict is being
experienced by the learners.

Case study
The teacher will divide the class into groups of 4 and give each group
activity
a case study that is unique to that group.
The group will be asked to use the 4 tools they just learned to help 10 min
facilitate conflict resolution for their specific case study.
The learners will be asked to present their findings to the class in the
next lesson as part of a recap for the next topic which is problem
solving and decision making.
