---Character---

There are initially 3 types of ponies to choose from: earth, pegasus, unicorn.
There are also 2 types that can be unlocked: foal and bat pony

Earth ponies have high stats and focus on regular attacks. They run the fastest.
Pegasus ponies are balanced and focus on mobility. They jump the highest.
Unicorn ponies are physically weak but have powerful skills. They run the slowest
and jump the lowest.
Foals are young ponies that have very low HP and MP, but have a strong potential
for growth in all other areas.
Bat ponies are well rounded with their attacks, skills, and mobility.
All pony types have different skills and weapons they can use.

Additionally, selecting male will grant extra HP, while female will grant extra MP.
The color of your pony and the color of it's mane also give a small stat boost.
Red corresponds to strength, green to constitution, and blue to intelligence.
You will receive a boost from the value that is the most prominent.
If 2 values are prominent, the boost will be divided between 2 stats.
Choosing white/gray/black colors will divided the boost evenly among the 3 stats.

NOTE: To select a mane6 preset, highlight their mane type and press (attack) or
(jump)

---Cutie Mark---

There are a few pre-made cutie marks for you to choose from, but you can also
create your own.
Choose 'custom' under CUTIE MARK in the character creation menu.

Attack-Fill the grid square with the current selected color


Jump-Clear the grid square of color
Skill 1-Blend the color of the grid square with the selected color
Skill 2-Select the color of the current grid square

The selected color is shown under COLOR.


The color at the far right can be edited with the RGB sliders.

---Pause Menu---

Press (start) while playing to access the pause menu.

Skill-Change skills, can have 3 sets of skills at a time


Equip-Change equipment, there are 3 types that can be equipped at a time, you can
also press Special to rearrange the order of your items.
Water-Use 'water of life' if one is available; can only carry 1 at a time
Ability-A quick guide on how to perform various techniques
Enemy-View information on all enemies that have been defeated
Config-Change graphics level, volume, keyboard keys, and gamepad buttons
Exit-Exit to main menu

---Configuration Options---

Select Config from the pause menu to access the configuration options.

Graphics-Setting graphics on low will disable various graphical effects such as


particles, surfaces, and animated backgrounds.
Controller Type-Choose the method that the game uses to detect controllers. XInput
is the API that the Xbox 360 uses. You can also use the older Windows method of
detection. Autodetect will automatically choose the best method of controller
detection (not recommended).
It is recommended that you chose the Controller Type BEFORE connecting your
controller.
Music Volume-Use the slider to set the music volume. Moving the slider all the way
to the left will disable music.
Sound Volume-Use the slider to set the sound volume. Moving the slider all the way
to the left will disable sound.
Controls-Here you can configure the keys and buttons used in the game.
First, highlight the device you would like to configure: Keyboard of Gamepad.
Next move down to the key or button you would like to change, press attack or
jump, and then input the new key or button you would like to use.

---Alternate Sync Method---

The Sync method can be changed by editing the settings.ini file located in the
AppData folder:
...Users\username\AppData\Local\Ponyvania\settings.ini

Find the line that includes alternateSyncMethod.


Change that line to this: alternateSyncMethod="0"

---Anolog Vertical Axis---

You can invert the vertical axis on anolog sticks by editing the settings.ini file
located in the AppData folder:
...Users\username\AppData\Local\Ponyvania\settings.ini

Find the line that includes joyInvertVerticalAxis


Change that line to this: joyInvertVerticalAxis="0"

---Input Timing---

You can change how strict the timing is for command inputs by editing the
settings.ini file located in the AppData folder:
...Users\username\AppData\Local\Ponyvania\settings.ini

Find the line that includes inputTiming


To allow more time for inputs, change that line to this: inputTiming="2.0"
To allow less time for inputs, change that line to this: inputTiming="0.5"

---Multiplayer---

Gamepad support is required for 2 player co-op!

Use water of life to revive KOed allies.

Ally will automatically be revived with %10 HP upon entering a new room.

Pressing F2 will swap player input. Use when player's inputs get mixed up.

Dual Crush: Press (Up + Skill 1) or (Up + Skill 2) to initiate a dual crush.
Ally must also input this command near you in order to activate the dual crush.
Cannot initiate a dual crush if you are in the air, attacking, or getting hurt.
Both players must have at least 75% of their max MP, and all MP will be consumed
when used.
The dual crush used depends on the type of ponies who use it.
