In this
chapter, we will talk about how to manage the ECS instance by using a web console
that you can easily manage your assistance. You can do a foreign operation
anywhere at any time.

For example, you can remote login to ECS from the console and you can restart
ECS instance from the console, and also you can modify your login password of
ECS instance. You can increase CPU memory at any time.

You can also increase network bandwidth if you don't have enough space on your
disk, you can expand the size of the existing disk or add a new disk.

So how to access the ECS console? First, you need to log into the cloud console
and click in the left main menu, then click instance from the submenu of the ECS
instance list screen will show up after choosing a region, your instance in the target
region will be listed.

You can choose the operation from the manage menu. Ok, let's do a quick demo
about these operations. Ok, let's start the demo about how to manage this season.

The console includes a remote login to the target assistance and remote restart and
a modified login password and increases the CPU and memory。

From the menu here, you can see there's a lot of operations. Next, let's restart,
release an instance and do some other operations, and then connect.

You can connect to the remote hosted directly, and there is also a changing type
button here. It is disabled right now so I will check later. Let's try to connect to the
remote ECS if it's the first time you look into this instance, there will be a window pop
up.

The console will tell you about the connection and password. Please write down this
password because you will use it every time you try to log in to this instance. Okay,
now input the password you just copied, click.

Now you can see if we have a locked-in this server and review, use the control, plus
delete two access login page, input the password of the administrator.

Now you in your access in this server, you can see we have a windows server 2012,
let's check the memory and disk.

The local server, we can check the memory here is, as we selected in the isn't. The
creation method is two gigabytes memory and a total sixty by disk. Ok, let's close the
window.

And to our next operation, next review, remote restart. In this instance, just click
here, and clicking the start is very simple. Click, ok. The status of this instance will
change to stopping. After stopping it, restart it again.

Okay, now the status has changed to running. Let's connect this instance again
using a survey password.

Log in.

Ok, now we are in, so you can check, confirm that the instance has been restarted.
Ok, the next operation is to modify a login password. Actually, not only looking
passport can be changed here, but you can also reset you're piping if you forgot the
password.

Okay, here, if you try to modify the administrator, password administrator, user
password, click reset password, we will input a new password here.

Ok, click to submit.

Ok, please be noticed that password has been modified so you need to restart the
instance.

Change the status to starting and refresh.

The status changed so we can connect to this instance and try to confirm whether
the password has been changed or not because we are just changing the login
password. We can now use the new password.

Click login and now we are looking at our ECS instance using our new updated
password so they will continue to the next day. Next, we will change the instance
type. We will change the CPU and memory of this instance.

It's a now you can check that it changes, has been disabled means that if you put
your mouse this button, it will give you a hint. If is says please stop these things first
then let's follow the hint and stop.

Now the status has changed to stop, you can see the changes, and tap button has
been so clicked this bin now choose you are new. You want to update it to.

So review CPU called to two and memory to 4gb.

Okay, please notice that you need to. You need to start the instance. Let's start the
instance and check whether the change has been updated.

Please notice that our memory, orange memory is two gigabits.

instance.

You have two options to finish this task. Option A is to expand the size of the existing
disk. Another option is you can add a new disk to the instance for the option you
need to do when you want to expand the size of the existing disk.

You can follow the three steps: first, log into the console to tag, and from the menu,
click expounds the size and then go to the console to restart the instance. And the
last step is for windows, you need to remote login to target ECS instance and
expound the volume for the target disk from the server management council
windows.

If you want to add a new disk, you can first purchase a new discovery in the same
zone as the ECS instance. If the disk is in a different zone from the ECS instance it
can not be attached next from the console. Attach this new disk to the target ECS
instance, then restart the instance.

That's all for adding a new disk. Ok, let's do a quick demo about the expense
storage.

Ok, let's start the demo about how to expand the storage. First, we will expand the
size of the existing disk. So the first step is in the console to create a cloud disk.

From the menu here you can check there are two different types. There is one type
called system disks, another tab called data disks for the system disk. You cannot
resize, it cannot be resized, so we will resize the data disk.

So, ah, okay, let's click reset disk. Now, will you change to twenty-five gigabytes, so it
will list the price here, so you can see it is very cheap? So confirmed it.

So it will pop up a window and let you know, the setting. Successful.

So clicked back to this list, so please be noticed that the cooperation is also required.
Let's do an instance restart so we will click instance and restart the instance.

Okay, okay, let's do a quick refresh. Okay, not yet.Ok.

The status has changed to training, so let's connect to the host. Let's first expound
the size of the disk. So our original size of this twenty-four gigabyte. First, go to the
server manager and wait for the file and storage service menu shows up, click here,
collected so you can see that the date has been changed to twenty-five gigabytes,
and there is a five-gigabyte unlocated free space here, so we will need to have to
expound the volume for this disk.

So click the volume and click the red to expand the volume. So here with you. Use
the maximum size twenty-five gigabytes and click ok.

And let's check the weather. This site has been changed. Ok, now you can see our
local disk.

Data has been changed to twenty-five gigabytes. Ok, this is the first option to expand
the size of the existing disk. You have another option.

You can create a new disk and disk to the target instance. So from the cloud disk
menu, create a click, create a cloud disk. Ok, please be noted that you need to
choose the same media center at the instance or otherwise you will not be able to
add this disk to the target instance.

So to Singapore, and storage type will use ultra cloud disk, the use default size
twenty gigabyte, and click the buy. Now, ok, it will give you a cost and clicked
activate.

Okay, now the disk and returns to the council colleague. Click cloud disk. Ah, okay,
click refresh.

Okay, so you can see that the new disk has been created here, and status is
available now we will attach this disk to our target instance. Click mao, and attach.
Here you will choose.

We will choose our target instance. Cloud and test.

Okay, so this disk has been attached. Zane, we need to restart the ECS instance, ok,
go to the instance a page, correct, more and restart cooked ok.

Ok, it's stopping still stopping starting.

Click refresh to check.

Ok, the status changed to running. Let's connect to the host.Ok.

Enter the way and see the password.

Administrator, the password, the main street, or the user password.

In this, add a new description, you don't need any other, you don't need any
adoptions on the host, it will be automatically added to this server. So this PC you
can check there's a new local disk.

That's the demo for expanding the disk.
