Since the short duration of study and I research deeply about the
market of milk industry channel distribution customers and its
strategies. Hence the report title is “Study of market demand and
supply for milk and milk products of Sudha (COMFED) “
Objectives:-

 To understand the industry of milk and its distribution channel.

 Since the industry of milk have its heavy manufacturing plants


finally to retail shops that help to understand the process of
retail management.

 To know about manufacturing process of milk product.

 To know about customers penetration and market demand of


milk product.

 To earn physical knowledge.

 Since that has more and less seasonal demand which could
help us to understand the average manufacturing and
momentum manufacturing of the product.

 This report is help me to understanding the complete


distribution channel and benefits and problem of suppliers and
retailers.

 The time management is more important in perishable items.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The internships in Sudha dairy GAYA (COMFED ) helped me to grow


the practical and physical experience and the study conducted by me
around the importance of dairy industries in india. A dairy sector play
very important role in every person specially in farmers. Dairy
provides milk, curd, ghee, butter, cheese, peda, lassi etc. dairy
provides source of income of rural and urban people and also way
for the farmers to make life easier and living standard high. During
my internships Sudha dairy GAYA (COMFED) the main focus of my
internships is that was on comparative analysis of pouched milk of
Sudha.
I was there to observe and understand its function and find out some
key points that could add more value to this wonderful organization.

INTRODUCTION

Animal milk producing have been domesticated for thousands of


year originally that was the part of the farming that nomads
engaged.as the society moved around the country their animals with
them. The protecting and feeding of animal was a big part of the
animals and farmers.

In the recent part people of rural area and agricultural societies


having own animals.

Bihar was one of the milk shed identified under operation flood
identifies the programme. Capacity of production of milk in per day
was one thousands litres per day capacity feeder balancing cattle
feed plant were set up under this programme.

by the department head and their details collected by standing

HISTORY OF COMFED

Sudha dairy is a co-operative agency it was founded in 1983.to


coordinate the different milk unions. In eastern india the
government opened Nalanda Dairy in 2013 which is the largest
automation based dairy in 2013.the establishment of this dairy on
the pattern of Anand.
This organization establishment of Sudha was a result of white
revolution in north east india

Eight district milk producers co-operative unions are affiliated to the


federation. These unions are cover thirty eight districts in Bihar they
are as follows:-
 Tirhut milk union ( TIMUL)Muzaffarpur under sitamarhi,
sheohar, east champaran (motihari) ,chakia, west
champaran ,siwan and Gopalganj

 DR milk union (DRMU) Barauni under begusarai , khagaria


, lakhisarai and part of patna districts.

 Vaishali Patliputra milk union patna under


patna ,Vaishali ,Nalanda ,saran and seikhpura.

 Mithila milk union samastipur under samastipur ,


darbhanga, madhubani ,basopatti.

 Shahabad milk union Ara under bhojpur, buxar,


kaimur ,and rohtas .
 Vikramshila milk union (VIMPUL) Bhagalpur under
Bhagalpur ,munger , banka , and jamui.

 Kosi milk union supaul under supaul, saharsha . purnea ,


Kishanganj

 Magadh milk union GAYA under gaya ,


Aurangabad ,arwal, jehanabad , nwada .

The process of dairy work continued and the present time there are
eight district level milk unions under thirty eights districts of the
bihar COMFED serving the not only in Bihar but also the Jharkhand,
Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Delhi /NCR region.
