Case Study

Introduction

Every person is different. They came up with different nationalities, races, ethnicities, and
religions that include different traditions, beliefs and cultures. However, these differences have
become a big issue to each and every one, and that is the reason why this world has produced
racism. Unfortunately, racism can happen everywhere at any moment in their life. This is the sad
reality of this world, people are born to be themselves, to achieve their goals in life and not to
please anyone. Therefore, people can see every individual with a different nationality because of
being open to each other and by that they are discriminating, insulting and saying bad words that
can lower the self-esteem of an individual being. However, this moral issue didn’t happen by
nation to nation only, on the daily basis of their lives it can happen to everyone. A student that is
experiencing bullying because he or she is Asian, a student who is receiving an offensive joke
because his or her skin is dark, a person can get harassed by his type of nose. Racism will not
give you a good life but it can worsen the situation.

Narrative
For instance, there is a transferred girl in the school of girl number 2. It happens that the girl
number 1 has a dark color, her nose is big, she has messy hair and her culture is different to them
because she is a Muslim. What girl 2 did to the new transfer student is unacceptable because she
bullied her and made an offensive joke about her religion. Also, girl number 2 saying fake
information about girl 1, she is spreading fake news just for girl 1 didn’t get any friends from her
new school. These things are prohibited but girl 2 is continuously doing this because she wants to
get attention from others. She’s mocking the physical appearance of girl number 1, she’s
laughing loudly when she’s witnessing how girl number 1 doing their traditions. Girl number 1
feels that she’s so ugly and she is not welcome to her new school until one day girl number 1
dropped into her class but girl number 2 has nothing to regret.
Moral Issue
It only shows how racism can badly affect someone’s life. Every each of us have our differences,
we came from difference nationality and religion so accepting these differences will help them to
have humanity. In school, racism is happening, they are discriminating and degrading others just
because they are like this or they have different perception to them. It only shows that racism
should be stop, it needs to assess so that our actions will be base on what is right and not in what
is wrong. We need to think twice or thrice before bullying and saying bad words to others
because it might hurt their feelings and will go to the point of their life where they want to stop
in studying.
Judgement

It is okay to hear criticism sometimes, because of this it can help us to improve ourselves and be
a better version of ourselves. However, racism is different from giving constructive criticism,
because racist people want to put you down and degrade you until you lose hope. Racism will
bring bad effects to every individual, and by normalizing this one won’t help us to have
humanity. As a human being we need to stop this because of many reasons. The main reason is
to create and build a strong relationship with others and also to appreciate each and everyone’s
beauty, talents and skills that they can showcase freely.
