A girl was with her father when he saw her boyfriend coming.

GIRL: Have you come to collect your book titled "DADDY IS HOME?" by Ngozi Okafor.

BOY: No, I want that our hymns called "WHERE SHOULD I WAIT FOR YOU?"

GIRL: I don't have that one... may be you should take the other one "UNDER THE MANGO TREE" by
Chimamanda Adichie.

BOY: Fine, but don't forget to bring "I WILL CALL YOU IN 5 MINS" while coming to school...

GIRL: I will also bring this one too, "I WON'T LET YOU DOWN" by Chinua Achebe.

Then;DAD: These are too many books, will he read all of them?

GIRL: Yes dad, he is very smart.

DAD: Okay, don't forget to give him the one on the table titled, "I AM NOT STUP!D, I UNDERSTOOD
EVERYTHING YOU'VE BEEN SAYING" by Shakespeare!

And also the one on the dinning titled "IF YOU GET PREGNANT PREPARE TO GET MARRIED" by Wole
Soyinka.

Invest first before living like a King and Queen Asset vs Liability
Son: Dad, may I speak with you?

Dad: Go ahead.

Son: Among all my classmates, I am the only one without a car. It is embarrassing.

Dad: What do you want me to do?

Son: I need a car. I don't want to feel odd.

Dad: Do you have a particular car in mind?

Son: Yes dad (smiling)

Dad: How much?

Son: 200,000 pesos

Dad: I will give you the money on one condition.

Son: What is the condition?

Dad: You will not use the money to buy a car but invest it. If you make enough profit from the
investment, you can go ahead and buy the car.

Son: Deal.

Then, the father gave him a cheque of 200,000 pesos. The son cashed the cheque and invested it in
obedience to the verbal agreement that he had with his father.

Some months later, the father asked the son how he was faring. The son responded that his business
was improving. The father left him.

After some months again, the father asked him about his business

again and the son told him that he is making a lot of profit from the business.

When it was exactly a year after he gave him the money, the father asked him to show him how far the
business has gone. The son readily agreed and the following discussion took place:
Dad: From this I can see that you have made a lot of money.

Son: Yes dad.

Dad: Do you still remember our agreement?

Son: Yes

Dad: What is it?

Son: We agreed that I should invest the money and buy the car from the profit.

Dad: Why have you not bought the car?

Son: I don't need the car again. I want to invest more.

Dad: Good. You have learnt the lessons that I wanted to teach you.

- You didn't really need the car, you just wanted to feel among. That would have placed extra financial
obligations on you. It wasn't an asset then; but a liability.

- Two, it is very important for you to invest in your future before living like a king.

Son: Thanks dad.

Then the father gave him the keys of the latest model of that car.

MORALS:

1. Always invest first before you start living the way you want.

2. What you see as a need now may become a want if you can take a little time to get over your feelings.

3. Try to be able to distinguish between an asset and a liability so that what you see as an asset today
will not become a liability to you tomorrow.

to those who know the real value of wealth ,congrats 👏⏳🥳

Food For Thought;

Don't Limit Your Success.

I bought my first car when I was just 24 years. During that time, African countries had not started
importing second hand vehicles from Japan, so it was a very big achievement for someone to buy a car.
Very few people owned cars at that time.

With God's grace I bought my first car, Ford Leiser, Hatchback. I couldn't believe myself the day I drove it
home. It was not new, it was a bit old and with a number of faults but to be it was the best car ever.

At night I would woke up and peep through my bedroom window to check if my car was safe. I would
park it very very close to the window of my bedroom. In the morning the first thing I would do is to
check my car if it was fine. To check if no thieves has tempered with it at night.

I felt like I have made it, the energy to keep working was reduced. I would spend more time driving my
car visiting friends as a way of show off. Yes I gained respect but slowly I was becoming broke. Time to
time my car would develop some faults. I developed friendship more with different technicians. Motor
mechanics, Aoutor electricians, welders, second hand tyre sellers. This was because more often I will
need them to service my car. The car started to drain every money that I would get. In some instances I
would work specifically to raise just enough to repair my car. Eventually I got fade up. Sometimes I
would have a breakdown and I would be forced to leave my car on the road side and walk home. I would
follow it up the next morning to recover it.

One day I said to myself, enough is enough, I don't need this car anymore. I sold it. I look at the person
who bought this car, he was very very happy, on the other hand I felt a huge relief. I went back and
invest the money into the business. Now once owned a car, you cannot stay without one. It was difficult
time for me because I made a choice that I would work hard and raise enough money to buy a better
car. A car that is suitable for the construction industry.

I want to challenge you today. Please don't limit your growth by settling for less. You have great
potential to build a multi million company but the problem is you have eliminated yourself from the list
of people who are going to achieve that.

You are ok renting a 2 roomed cottage, you are okay driving a second hand vehicle, you are okay
watching a 45 inch television. All this you think you have achieved, is not limit.

You need to always aim hire, be the better version of your yesterday. Never compete with anyone,
compete with your previous version, that way you will be able to achieve the best out of yourself.

Now avoid to buy problems and consider them an as achievements. If not careful, you will spend money
on things that will milky all your earnings.

Trade careful and always aim bigger.

YOUR TIME IS COMING

What is ahead of you is more greater than the challenges you are facing now. Never give up on yourself
no matter the challenges you face. You need to endure today to enjoy tomorrow. When people look
down on you, never you in anyway look down on yourself. When people laugh at you because of your
inability to do a particular thing, don't let it kill the motive in you, keep on pushing forward for a time is
coming when they will no longer laugh at you anymore, but depend on you.

People rejecting you does not mean that GOD has rejected you. Because you do not have today, does
not mean that you will not have tomorrow. Life is turn by turn. Wait patiently for your own time.
A time is coming when you will have more than enough. A time is coming when your tears will turn into
testimonies. A time is coming when your story will turn into glory. NEVER GIVE UP FOR GOD IS
PLANNING A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR YOU. If you don't have someone to motive you, you need to
motivate yourself.

In any condition you find yourself, always be greatful to GOD for HIS plans toward your life is perfect.
You may not know now that it is perfect, but a time is coming when you will know that GOD was using
that to prepare you for a greater mission/task in the future, there, you will know that GOD'S plans and
ways are always perfect.

May GOD help you never to give up in life till you become what HE wants you to become in life in JESUS

Once in a physics class, the teacher asked the students, “Why do we have brakes in a car?”

Varied answers were received:

“To stop”

“To reduce speed”

“To avoid collision” etc.,

But the best answer was,

“To enable you to drive faster”

Give it a thought.
For a moment assume you have no brakes in your car then how fast will you drive your car?

It’s because of brakes that we can dare to accelerate, dare to go fast and reach destinations we desire.

At various points in life, we find our parents, teachers, mentors & friends etc. questioning our progress,
direction or decision. We consider them as irritants or consider such inquiries as “brakes” to our ongoing
work.

But, remember, it’s because of such questions (periodical brakes) that you have managed to reach
where you are today. Without brakes, you could have skid, lost direction or met with an unfortunate
accident.

Appreciate the “brakes” in your life. Use them wisely!😊😊

【PS】

The most important habit you must copy from billionaires and also become one of them;

"Work Smart not Hard!"

Let me share this story:

There's a man who had tried all ways to make it in life after collage but had failed. He worked hard at
different jobs but his salary couldn't sustain him and his people. He would work hard but end up in debts
at the end of the month.

While working at a job, he picked up a very hot business idea which needed mass capital investment
that he lacked.
So he came up with plan B. He realised that working hard at employment wasn't a solution but to have
adequate time to think and find a smartest way of making money.

Subsequently he resigned and acquired a loan to register/incorporate his own company. He rented and
established an office on apartment. He called application for jobs at 200k per application but in reality,
he had no jobs.

Over 5,000 unemployed youths applied in the first two months!

Therefore the guy smartly collected 1Billion and stopped receiving applications. This 1Bn became a
game changer for his life.🙊

He first of all set aside 50M to clear up his outstanding loan and to bribe police and judicial officers just
incase things turned against him since he had no ready jobs available for the applicants.

Over 950M from applicants was invested and his dream business triumphed. The tycoon actually
started to employ some of the first shortlisted applicants in his own business and he's expanded steadily
as other applicants were still waiting for feedback!😂

This is how this man became a billionaire up to now.

Always find ways of using more of your brain and less energy.

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived..

Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love.

One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left..
Except for Love..
Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?"

Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for
you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel."Vanity, please help me!""I
can't help you, Love.

You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."

"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her..

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you..

"It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed,

Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going.

When they arrived at dry land,

The elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed..Love asked Knowledge, another elder,
"Who Helped me?"

"It was Time," Knowledge answered.

"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?

"Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding
how valuable Love is.

•-🦋-*INVESTMENTS AND RETIREMENT. LESSONS*

By mwalimu Amunga
This real-life story of Mr Makori after living in the USA for 38 years and at the age of 71, Mr Makori
finally relocated to Kisii this year to live in his 6-bedroom mansion which took him 9 years to complete.

Apparently, now in Kisii Mr Makori is in his mansion, Mr Makori lives in the living room of the house
while his caretaker lives upstairs in his huge master bedroom.

This is because Mr Makori cannot climb the stairs without the help of another person.

Even with help, it will take him 15 minutes to make the climb.

Mr Makori has decided to stay downstairs of his mansion in the living room as all 6 bedrooms are
upstairs.

The house has a living room, toilet, and kitchen downstairs and 3 rooms on the first floor, and another 3
including the master bedroom on the second last floor.

This is surely not how Mr Makori anticipated his retirement. But that is the reality of his journey.

Unfortunately this will be the life of many other Africans living abroad building mansions back home
without caring about their old age.

In fact, if you are building a dream house for yourself to live in and by 50 years that house is not done,
forget it🫣

Mr Makori almost wasted 38 years of his life doing menial jobs abroad hoping to go and retire back
home in his mansion and enjoy life. Now, he has no life to enjoy and someone is really enjoying the
mansion.

Like most aged persons, Mr Makori is not even able to enjoy a bottle of malt at his age because that will
shoot up his sugar level.
Yet, he said he was working hard all his life to enjoy his best life which included eating and drinking the
finest when he retires.

Now, he is only able to eat salads and even that, without dressing.

He cannot even chew any of the fine meat out there without his cholesterol sending warning signs.

How is this life and the great retirement?

Yet, this will be the life of more than half of us.

The solution is to take mini-retirements now and enjoy your life and luxury now.

Mr Makoris wife decided to stay back in America to help their children raise their grandchildren.

Mr Makori is now under the care of workers while the rest of his immediate family has decided to make
America home.

Lately it's rare to find Kenyan women who plan to retire in Kenya 🇰🇪

The advantage women have over men- women can adapt fast in any place they settle unlike men.

Take time to enjoy life when you can still walk around and eat anything you want to eat above all travel
around the world and experience the great Adventureez 👍
FYI-Your Kenyan American children might never spend a night in that house or follow up on any of the
properties you have worked so hard to buy...

When you will rest that will be the end of it all....

THE LEGLESS BEGGAR

Learn From This Story.

One day, a rich kid was walking with his dad when he saw an old legless beggar on the street, begging
for alms. The boy stopped his dad immediately and walked up to the disabled beggar.

"Hey sir, can I ask you a question?" he asked him.

"Yes you can" the old man replied.

Then the boy said.

"What happened to your legs? Why are they missing?"

A look of shame showed on the dad's face as he whispered into his son's ears.

"Hey, you should never ask people inappropriate questions"

The old man heard it. He paused for a moment, then said to the little boy.

"Can I tell you a short story?"

The boy nodded his head. Then old man said.

"It's a true story about a young boy, and you should pay keen attention"

"Okay"

The old man started speaking.

"There was a boy who had a donkey he loved so much. He called him Banjo, and he was his best
companion. One day, he went to bathe in the river and had taken the donkey with him for a bath.
Unfortunately, a huge crocodile suddenly leaped out of the water and grabbed the donkey, dragging him
deep in the water. The boy couldn't save his donkey. He screamed so hard as he watched poor Banjo
being killed. He became so angry like a volcano. Burning with anger, he must wreak vengeance, so he
jumped into the river to fight the ferocious crocodile. But it didn't turn out good as another crocodile
attacked the boy and started devouring him... The end"

Having listened to the story, the kid wagged his head, then asked.

"So, what happened to the boy afterwards? Or was he also killed?"

The old man paused for a moment, then said.

"Over the years, that boy has grown into an old man and he is now me. I just told you a story about
myself, thereby answering your question. I survived but lost both legs from the incident"

Both the father and son were marveled. Then the old beggar concluded.

"My story has a powerful lesson about anger and revenge, you should take away. You should learn to
control your anger, or else you would be pushed to inflict vengeance, which would not only hurt others,
but also yourself. I was so angry and desperate, I wanted that revenge so bad that I didn't realize how
stupid I was. Anger can make you take stupid actions that you would live forever to regret. You see, if I
had controlled my anger and walked home after the crocodile ate my donkey, I wouldn't be the 'legless
beggar' you see today. It's important you learn to forgive those who hurt you, and move on with your
life. Not because they deserve it, but because you deserve peace.

GOD BLESS YOU

Short story: 🍎An Apple Tree and Its Unconditional Love

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He
climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, and took a nap under the shadow.

He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by, the little boy had grown up and he
no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.

“Come and play with me”, the tree asked the boy.

“I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more” the boy replied.

“I want toys. I need money to buy them.”

“Sorry, but I do not have money, but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.”

The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back
after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.
One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited.

“Come and play with me” the tree said.

“I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help
me?”

“Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.” So the man
cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never
came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted.

“Come and play with me!” the tree said.

“I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” said the man.

“Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.”

So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. “Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore.
No more apples for you”, the tree said. “No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite” the

man replied.
“No more trunk for you to climb on.” “I am too old for that now” the man said. “I really cannot give you
anything, the only thing left is my dying roots,” the tree said with tears.

“I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years,” the man replied.

“Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, come sit down with me and rest.” The man
sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.

This is a story of everyone. The tree is like our parents. When we were young, we loved to play with our
Mum and Dad. When we grow up, we leave them; only come to them when we need something or
when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could
just to make you happy.

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for
granted; we don’t appreciate all they do for us, until it’s too late.

The moral of the story is that parents, like the apple tree, love their children unconditionally and are
always there to provide for them. However, as we grow up, we tend to take our parents for granted and
only come to them when we need something. We should learn to appreciate our parents and all that
they do for us before it's too late. We should cherish the time we have with them and show them love
and respect, just as they have shown us throughout our lives.

DEAR PARENTS.

Stop calling your children names when they make a mistake. When those negative words get into their
heads, it will not only affect their self-esteem in life but they will end up believing it.
At first, every child sees his parents as superhumans. That's why they usually think their parents can
beat everybody and can afford everything. The danger here is that at this stage, they also believe
everything that their parents are speaking into their lives.

Stop calling them names like dull, stupid, foolish, useless, idiot, etc., whenever they make a mistake or
do something wrong. In truth, your children will certainly end up becoming what you use to speak into
their lives, and you will start taking them to prayer houses or mallams to get them delivered, thinking
that they have been cursed by your village people or their wicked relations.

Remember how a child learns how to walk: it's from crawling, failing, and rising many times. That is how
they learn almost everything in life and learn to correct them in love.
