In the film, we can find out when a foreigner is granted a residence and work permit.

It is
issued to a person who stays in Poland for gainful employment. It is a uniform permit. Such a
permit regulates the issue of legal stay in Poland and performance of work for a specified
employer. This includes the type of work to be performed, the place, the position and the
lowest remuneration that can be earned. On the basis of the residence, a residence card is
issued, which allows legal residence in Poland. A foreigner who loses the card at the
indicated employer should notify the provincial governor. If he/she wants to change jobs
with a new employer he/she should submit a new application within 30 days. As far as
remuneration is concerned, the minimum wage is regulated by law and must be comparable
to that of other employees. The application for dismissal must be submitted to the
voivodship office on the last day of legal residence in Poland. The fees are PLN 440 plus PLN
50 for the issue of a residence card. One of the conditions for obtaining the card is the
opinion of the starost. From 14 days to 21 is the waiting time. The decision obtained should
be attached to the application. There are many situations when it is not required, when
three months have passed with the declaration of entrusting work to a foreigner. Another
situation is when a governor takes into account the regulation of the voivod who defines
deficit occupations on the labour market. A permit is not required in care work or when
extending work for an employer. It is not required for professions such as trainer or for
training as a doctor or dentist.
