Wear down

He has taken up some additional assignments at his work he couldn’t cope with anymore. All that
multitasking and responsibilities wore him down.

Dear Mr Keating,

My name is and I am attending your People Analytics class at the Gwent College.

I am writing you to request an extension for the research assignment we have to submit by the end
of this week.

At the beginning of the month, I have been called for jury service that was scheduled for the last
week. Unfortunately, due to isolation during the trial, I have been denied the access to library and
internet access to collect and analyse the data.

I am aware that extension is accepted only in the exceptional circumstances and that Jury service is
not on the list of the acceptable reasons. I would like to ask you to take my situation into
consideration for extending the submission date for this assignment. I would require additional one
week that I lost during the trial.

I hope you will take my request into consideration and extend the submission deadline for one week
in this case.

Yours sincerely,
