OneDrive Sync is a great tool to easily access Teams files. Users can use OneDrive OneDrive Sync allows you to easily acccess files that are stored in Teams
sync at their discretion. Below are some good scenarios of when to use OneDrive without having to go through the Teams interface. Some of the benefits of
Sync: having your files in Teams and using OneDrive sync include:

• You are working within a channel daily aand want quicker access to files • Ability to easily access files form a file explore view

• You are going to be working on files from a channel while you are offline • Work offline

• Your daily responsbility does not require as much posting in a Team but you still • Manage version history
need access to the files
• Co-author documents
• You want to open files in the installed applications on your computer (I.e. Word,
Excel, PPT) and not in Teams or the brwoser

• You want to work on files in a familiar file explorer view


OneDrive: Sync from Teams

Open the Files tab of the channel you are choosing to sync from. When SharePoint opens, you will notice the same files that are listed in the
Teams Files view. Click the Sync button from the toolbar at the top.

When you click Sync, a window will pop up asking to sync the library. Click
Sync Now.

From the Files tab, click Open in SharePoint. A SharePoint library will open in
your browser.
When your files have synced, you will receive a message that the sync is
complete.
