My name is Farah Tarek Sayed, 21 years old, and I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in
operations management and supply Chain at Nile University. Throughout my academic journey, I have
maintained a high GPA and I am eager to apply my knowledge in real-world scenarios.

 Why have you applied for this internship:

I am eager to gain practical experience in the field of operations management, and I believe that this
internship will provide me with the opportunity to apply my theoretical knowledge, develop new skills,
and make meaningful contributions to the organization.

 Why have you applied for an internship at our company?

Your company has an excellent reputation in the industry, I believe that interning at your company will
expose me to cutting-edge practices and provide valuable insights into how a successful organization
operates. I am excited about the possibility of learning from industry experts and contributing to the
growth of the company.

 Why did you choose this major?

Operations management and supply chain management are critical functions in various industries. I see
promising career prospects and job opportunities in these fields. I also have a have a genuine interest in
understanding how businesses operate and how products and services are delivered to customers.

 Can you provide an example of a time when you demonstrated your leadership skills?

Answer: As a Junior Teaching Assistant, I had the opportunity to lead and guide students during the
Math201 course. I was responsible for facilitating discussions, providing support, and helping students
understand complex concepts. This experience allowed me to enhance my leadership skills and
effectively manage a team.

 How do you handle multitasking and prioritize your work?

Answer: To prioritize my work, I assess the urgency and importance of each task, consider deadlines, and
evaluate the impact. I then create a to-do list, break down tasks into smaller steps, and allocate time
accordingly.

 What are some of your key skills and strengths that make you a suitable candidate for this
internship?

Answer: I possess excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills. I am highly organized, detail-
oriented, and skilled in time management. I have strong leadership abilities, and I'm capable of
multitasking and solving problems independently.

 Teamwork or individually ?

I’m equally suited to working as part of a team and solo projects. Teamwork is great, because it gives me
an opportunity to connect with others, brainstorm, share and receive feedback, and learn from others.
At the same time, individual projects are a chance to test and prove my skills, as well as practice creative
problem-solving.

 How can you describe yourself ?

My friends often joke about how I plan and prepare for everything, so I think they’d describe me as
organized, detail-oriented and reliable are other terms that come to mind. It’s true that I like keeping
organized—it helps me set realistic goals and always find ways to achieve them, and I think it’s a large
part of how I’ve managed to meet every deadline and keep a consistent 3.9 GPA.

 How do you see yourself in 5 years ?

I aim to utilize my academic achievements, functional and interpersonal skills, and leadership qualities to
secure a challenging and dynamic position with a reputable organization that values growth and
innovation. In the next 5 years, I envision myself expanding my area of expertise, acquiring new skills,
and contributing to the growth and success of the organization I work for. I plan to continue to enhance
my skills and to stay up to date with the latest industry trends.

 What was the hardest challenge for u ?

when she dedicated all her time and effort to training for the African Cup qualifications, only to have her
plans disrupted by a COVID-19 outbreak in her family. this was a significant setback for me, both
emotionally and mentally, as I had worked so hard for this opportunity for 5 months and was looking
forward to representing her country on the field.

Despite the setback, Farah didn't let it hold her back. She could discuss how she used this experience as
a learning opportunity to become more resilient, determined, and focused on her goals. She could talk
about how she coped with the disappointment of missing out on the chance to play for the national
team through self-reflection, talking to mentors, and setting new goals.

Additionally, Farah could mention how her experience with Virtual Exchange activities challenged her
and helped her develop new skills. She could describe how she collaborated with peers from Georgia
State University to complete a project, which required effective communication and collaboration skills.
She could talk about how this experience expanded her perspective and helped her develop a better
understanding of different cultures.

 Qualities of someone who works in quality management department?

Knowledge of quality management systems: A strong understanding of quality management systems is


essential for anyone working in this field. This includes knowledge of ISO standards, Six Sigma, and other
quality management frameworks.
Data analysis: Quality management professionals need to be able to analyze data to identify trends and
areas for improvement. This requires proficiency in data analysis software and the ability to interpret
statistical data.

Attention to detail: Quality management professionals must have a keen eye for detail and be able to
identify even small deviations from established quality standards.

Communication skills: This includes the ability to communicate complex technical information to both
technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-solving skills: Quality management professionals must be able to identify problems and work
collaboratively to develop solutions.

On the other hand, quality control refers to the activities and processes that are used to monitor and
measure the quality of a product or service, and to identify and correct any defects or errors that are
found. QC is a reactive approach that focuses on detecting and correcting problems after they have
occurred.

 What is operation management: \

the field of management that is concerned with designing, planning, and controlling the processes and
systems that are used to produce goods and services. In other words, operations management involves
overseeing the day-to-day processes and activities that are required to produce products or services
efficiently and effectively, while also ensuring that they meet customer needs and expectations.

 What is quality management

Quality management, on the other hand, is a discipline that is focused specifically on ensuring that
products and services meet established quality standards and customer expectations.

 Difference between lean and six sigma :

Lean is a methodology that is focused on eliminating waste and optimizing processes to improve
efficiency and reduce costs. Six Sigma, on the other hand, is a methodology that is focused on reducing
defects and improving quality by minimizing variability in processes.
