• I think the reason that refined petroleum is the top export is that my country has a large storage
(West Indies Oil Co)
• Antigua and Barbuda is known for its registry of ships, which means it provides a flag of
convenience for ships. So I think that because of this many register their ships here and sell them
so it would be registered as an export in my country’s trade. Also Known for the yacht charter
and boat-building industry.

• Even though we export refined petroleum Antigua and Barbuda has no native sources of oil or
natural gas so importing it is necessary.
• My country doesn’t have the technology to make certain ships and boats, but being an island
they’re necessary especially to promote tourism.
• Antigua and Barbuda is a third world country which means that we need to import way more
than we are able to export
