14 incidents related to hammering at CMM since January 2015.

8 out of the 14 incidents happened in the pit. This is the list of events:

1. Install (hammering) a bushing on a ADT articulation hitch


2. Take out a lip shroud.
3. Take out a bearing in a steering system.
4. Change a quick lock on a shovel bucket
5. Hitting a wear cap.
6. Hitting the nails on an alligator joint.
7. Insert a pin for a track pad.
8. Hitting a drill rod.

– Cat Clam went to Rebuild (3800hrs)

– Expected the shovel to lose the 240tph


productivity it gained with the CAT
GET…….However the productivity remained
the same.

– At the same time, the Mine reduced truck


payload by 9.5% to meet max capacity

– This fixed the tonnes and narrowed productivity


differences.
