 ‫عن أيب ذر قال قلت يا رسول اهلل أي مسجد وضع يف األرض أول قال املسجد احلرام قال قلت ثم أي قال املسجد‬

‫األقىص قلت كم كان بينهام قال أربعون سنة‬

 First Masjid: Masjid al-Haram. Second: Masjid al-Aqsa. Between them 40
years. (Sahih al-Bukhari: 3366)
 Third Haram. Third Most Respected and Honoured Haram for Muslims.

Virtues of Sham

‫أللهم بارك لنا يف شاممنا‬

Blessings in Shaam: (Bukhari: )

‫طوبى للشام طوبى للشام قلت ما بال الشام قال امللئكة باسطوا أجنحتها عىل الشام‬

Congratulations to Sham! Angels spread wings over Sham. (Musnad Ahmad.)

‫إذا فسد أهل الشام فال خري فيكم و ال يزال ناس من أمتي منصورين ال يبالون من خذهلم حتى تقوم الساعة‬

When people of Sham are corrupt, then no goodness in you. People of my ummah
will continue to be aided, without worrying about those who forsake them, until
Qiyamah. (Musnad Ahmad, Tirmidhi)
Ambiya and The Masjid

 Musa alayhis salaam: ‫يقوم ادخلوا األرض املقدسة التي كتب اهلل لكم و ال ترتدوا عىل أدباركم فتنقلبوا‬

‫خرسين‬

 Muhajar of Ibrahim and Lut alayhimas salaam: ‫و نجينه و لوطا إىل األرض التي بركنا فيها للعلمني‬
 Sayyiduna Sulayman alayhis salaam rebuilt it. Jinn assisted.
 Hundreds of Ambiya buried there. In fact, some say that Ambiya either born
there or travelled there.
 Rasulullah Sallallahu alayhi wasallam in Journey of Isra is taken to Masjid al-
Aqsa. Met the Ambiya and led them in prayer.
 ‫سبحن الذي أرسى بعبده ليال من املسجد احلرام إىل املسجد األقصا الذي بركنا حوله لنريه من آيتنا إنه هو السميع‬

‫البصري‬

 ‫ فحانت الصالة فأممتهم‬... ‫وقد رأيتني يف مجاعة من األنبياء‬

 I saw myself in a gathering of Ambiya. I led them in salah. (Sahih Muslim: 172;
Sunan al-Nasai: 450)
 Masjid al-Aqsa conquered by Sayyiduna Umar Radiyallahu anhu. He came
specifically to receive keys and it was opened without a fight.
 Thousands of Sahabah buried there.
 Salahuddeen al-Ayyubi reconquered it from the crusaders.

Go Visit

 ‫ال تشد الرحال إال إىل ثالثة مساجد مسجدي هذا و مسجد احلرام و مسجد األقىص‬
 Abu Hurayrah radiyallahu anhu: Do not undertake a journey to visit any Masjid,
but three: My Masjid, Masjid al-Haram and Masjid al-Aqsa. (Sahih al-Bukhari:
1189; Sahih Muslim: 1397a)
 ‫عن ميمونة قالت يا رسول اهلل أفتنا يف بيت املقدس فقال ائتوه فصلوا فيه فإن مل تأتوه و تصلوا فيه فابعثوا بزيت يرسج يف‬

‫عن ميمونة قالت أفتنا يف بي ت املقدس قال أرض املحرش و املنش‪ ...‬فإن صالة فيه كألف صالة يف غريه ‪‬‬
‫‪ Land of Resurruction and Gathering. Like 1000 salah elsewhere. (Sunan Ibn‬‬

‫عن أم سلمة من أهل بحجة أو عمرة من املسجد األقىص إىل املسجد احلرام غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه و ما تأخر أو وجبت ‪‬‬

‫له اجلنة‬

‫بينا أنا نائم إذ رأيت عمود الكتاب احتمل من حتت رأيس فظننت أنه مذهوب به فأتبعته برصي فعمد به إىل الشام أال و إن‬

‫اإليامن حني تقع الفتن بالشام‬

‫‪Dream that the pillar of Book taken from under my head and placed in Sham. Iman‬‬
‫)‪will be in Sham when fitan spread. (Musnad Ahmad‬‬

‫الدجال‪ :‬ال يأيت أر بعة مساجد الكعبة و مسجد الرسول و املسجد األقىص و الطور‬

‫)‪Dajjal not enter 4 Masajid. One is Masjid al-Aqsa. (Musnad Ahmad.‬‬

‫عن جممع بن جارية األنصاري يقول سمعت رسول اهلل صىل اهلل عليه و سلم يقول يقتل ابن مريم الدجال بباب لد‬

‫‪Ibn Maryam will kill Dajjal at Bab Lud: Jami al-Tirmidhi: 2244. Hasan‬‬

‫عليك بالشام فإنه خرية اهلل من أرضه جيتبي إليه خريته من عباده فإن أبيتم فعليكم بيمنكم وسقوا من غدركم فإن اهلل عز و‬

‫جل قد توكل يل بالشام و أهله‬

‫‪Distinguished land, elite take sanctuary there. (Musnad Ahmad, Sunan Abi‬‬

‫إن فسطاط املسلمني يوم امللحمة بالغوطة إىل جانب مدينة يقال هلا دمشق من خري مدائن الشام‬
Tent of Muslims in Great War is at Ghutah, at the side of City of Damascus, one
of best cities of Sham. (Sunan Abi Dawud, Musnad Ahmad.)

‫عن أنس بن مالك قال قال رسول اهلل صىل اهلل عليه و سلم وصالة يف املسجد األقىص بخمسني ألف صالة‬

Sunan Ibn Majah: 1413. Daif.

 Great blessings in and around the Masjid.

 Allah Ta’ala calls it blessed.
 Mentioned by name in Quran, apart from Masjid al-Haram.

 Ibn `Abbas Radiyallahu anhuma said “The Ambiya lived there. There is not a
single inch al-Quds where a Nabi of Allah Ta’ala has not performed salah or an
