- Prepared polymer nano-dome particles via condensed drop polymerization (CDP) in vapor phase
for soft-robotics (collaboration with Prof. Orlin Velev at NC State University) and nano-lens optics
- Fabricated multi-functional polymer coatings through initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD)
on gas diffusion layer for high performance electrochemical CO2 reduction (collaboration with
Prof. Tobias Hanrath and Prof. Sadaf Sobhani at Cornell University)
- Used GPC, MALDI-TOF, FT-IR, and NMR to study the chemical structures of polymer samples
- Characterized morphologies and mechanical properties by SEM, AFM (nanomechanical mapping)
- Developed new polymer particle size distribution apparatus (collaboration with kSA company)

- Prepared organic semiconductor film nanostructures using physical vapor deposition (PVD)
- Used photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS, XPS) to measure molecular orbital energies and chemical
states of the molecules on surfaces
- Performed synchrotron radiation experiments (GIWAXS) at Brookhaven National Laboratory to
study molecular orientations of the organic semiconductor films

- Used current-AFM (c-AFM) and time-resolved photoluminescence (PL) to study charge transport
properties and photophysical properties of organic semiconductors, respectively
- Prepared and characterized organic optoelectronic devices (Organic solar cell, OLED, OFET)

- Performed DFT calculations using Gaussian to study organic photosensitizers for efficient DSSCs
- Prepared DSSC devices and measured photovoltaic characteristics including current density-voltage

- Used cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) to measure
electrochemical properties of molecules and devices, respectively
- Used piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM) to investigate ferroelectric polymer thin films
- Experienced with self-assembly of block copolymer micelles using sol-gel precursors to create
functional oxide nanodot arrays on surfaces
- Acted as lab manager and safety manager. Responsible for chemical inventory and safety protocols
