Team building is any formal activity intended to improve the development and
functioning of a work team. It is intended to shape the team for smooth
functioning. Team building defined as any formal intervention directed
towards improving the development and functioning of a work team. Thus, the
process of team building aims at enhancing the effectiveness of a team. Team
building encourages team members to examine how they work together,
identify their weaknesses and develop more effective ways of cooperating. The
goal is to make the team more effective.
