Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) tools, including ChatGPT, may be used at ICHM in
a submitted assessment task. The following key points must be considered:

 GAI can be used to guide the student in their research. It cannot be used to provide their
text. I.e., copy and pasting or paraphrasing from the AI generated output.
 GAI can be used to research and inform the student’s assessment.
o No different from any other resource.
o Used to clarify complex ideas.
o Students are still required to use critical thinking and referencing skills.

 Students must provide an acknowledgement of (a reference to) any GAI tools.
