Introducción
Leonardo DiCaprio, born in Los Angeles November 11, 1974, is an American actor and
film producer. Known for his work in biographical and period films, he is the recipient
of numerous accolades, including an Academy Award. He has been placed eight times
in annual rankings of the world's highest-paid actors.
DiCaprio began his career in the late 1980s by appearing in television commercials.
Achieved international stardom with the star-crossed romances Romeo + Juliet (1996)
and Titanic (1997).

However, fame imposes its servitude, and DiCaprio has faced some challenging
personal moments throughout his career. Despite this, supported by his international
success, he participated in The Man in the Iron Mask (1998), a new version of
Alexandre Dumas' melodrama where he played the double role of Louis XIV and his
supposed brother, surrounded by a formidable trio of actors: Jeremy Irons, Gerard
Depardieu, and John Malkovich. The result was discreet, but his character served as the

Inception (2010), the western Django(2012), The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), the
survival drama The Revenant (2015)—for which he won the Academy Award for Best
Actor—and the comedy-dramas Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) and Don't
Look Up (2021).
Despite his success in the film industry, DiCaprio has continued to face personal and
professional challenges. The constant media attention and the pressures of stardom have
taken a toll on his privacy and well-being. In recent years, he has been vocal about the
negative impact of climate change on our planet, highlighting the urgency of addressing
this global issue.
Furthermore, he has expressed concerns about the divisive political climate and ongoing
social inequalities, emphasizing the need for positive change and unity in a world filled
with adversity.

made some of his films and the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, a nonprofit
